They are saying once it is delayed that it has to be delayed for at least 30 minutes. Hopefully after 30 minutes they will wait until the rain slacks up some and continue even if it hasn't stopped completely.

Desmond also slipped in the 5th, I believe it had just started raining, point is there were several times we played through the conditions and were hurt by it, and didn't protest

A couple of the Yankee beat writers are being little bitches about this and saying that they see nothing wrong with what Girardi and the umps did. But I just gained a lot of respect for one of their main writers, Andrew Marchand. He basically said Girardi deserves to be called out over this, especially since the Rangers played the whole game in the same conditions without complaining. Then he said that the umps screwed the Rangers over hard with the way they handled it, and that they should be forced to wait it out until it can be played.

He ended by tweeting "100 percent chance Rangers tie this up once game resumes. #karma"

In other news- Matt Shoemaker just threw yet another gem for the Angels yet won't get the win against the Astros due to the Angels' bullpen quickly giving up the lead. Another 6 innings of shutout ball for Shoemaker with over a K/inning ratio. He's been ridiculously good for over 2 months now and I bet he'd love to get out of LA. I wonder if the Angels would trade him to us? Maybe we could offer to pay a few million more for Hamilton if they let us have Shoemaker for not much. It couldn't hurt to ask, right?
