One last tiny jab. Tryng to keep perspective with our history but sour grapes. Have to wonder if this account is legit or just a bit. But if this the year of the luck and we are luck. Bring on the luck

You'd think he'd get tired of getting embarrassed.

What is real crazy here is that our guys minus a few like Beltre are not playing their best ball

Like I said before the game when you are 15-3 luck is taken out of the equation. That is way too one sided to be lucky. Common sense should tell him that but he is in denial.

I will say this for the Astros that they have one of the most unbelievable players in Altuve. A lot of good 2nd baseman's in the AL and 3 of them are in the West.

After tomorrow, the Rangers have 4 teams left on their regular season schedule. Their records are (in the order we face them): 62-82, 63-81, 64-81, and 61-83.

Now, I know that in the past our Rangers have sometimes been known to play down to the level of their competition. But even with that considered, I've gotta believe that there is at worst an 8-7 record looming against those 4 teams. But if we take them all seriously, there's no reason we can't clinch home field advantage throughout. That schedule is as cupcake as it gets, especially considering most are home games.

Rangers' Tony Barnette: Throws from flat ground for second straight day
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Barnette (oblique) threw from flat ground Tuesday for the second straight game but won't rush back to action, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.

Barnette is expected to need at least one mound session before returning to game action, and there's no timetable yet for that. He's been quietly effective when healthy, sporting a 1.14 WHIP and 2.15 ERA in 58. innings

Rangers' Jonathan Lucroy: Held out Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Lucroy is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros, according to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Lucroy is 11-for-34 (.324) at the plate this month, but with the Rangers comfortably in first place in the AL West, manager Jeff Banister will hold him out Tuesday for the second time in three days. Robinson Chirinos will get the start behind the plate in Lucroy's place.

Rangers' Derek Holland: Shifting to bullpen role temporarily
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Rangers manager Jeff Banister said that Hollandwould be available out of the bullpen for games Sunday and Tuesday, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

It's not believed that the Rangers plan to permanently remove Holland from their rotation. Either way, he'll at least get a chance to work in relief temporarily and bounce back from a 10-hit, four-run pummeling by the Mariners in his most recent start last Thursday. Holland had covered six innings in each of his three starts before that and conceded no more than two runs in any of those games, so the Rangers figure to exhibit some patience with him as a starter.

Guess 8-7 puts us at 95 wins which sounds about right. Considering the pitching injuries and the guys still recovering at the beginning of the season, I would say that is pretty damn good.

I guess I will go to the game that Yu pitches in. He had better not come down with a stiff neck this time or I am going to take it personal. lol

So for the playoffs they are switching it around to be Cole, Yu and then Lewis.

"Twelve of the Rangers’ 15 wins are by two runs or fewer. Eight are by one run." That is what you call clutch.

So here's how the night went for the Astros: Adrian Beltre hit a home run from his knee and then Ken Giles blew the game in the ninth -- after saying on Monday that the Astros are more talented than the Rangers. Those Astros who are now 3-15 against the Rangers and have seen their playoff odds fall to about 6 percent.

Not sure, but I think so. Evan is saying Colby is pitching Sunday, but then I heard a report on the Ticket this morning that Colby would pitch Friday.

Derek Holland set to make his return to the rotation in place of Yu Darvish | SportsDay

During a briefing before the game, pitching coach Doug Brocail allowed that Darvish had experienced some soreness in his arm, but called it "good" soreness. He explained that Darvish had continued to work on the arm extension on his fastball and slider and that the correction had led to what he described as typical post-throwing soreness.

I hope this is accurate and not another case of the Rangers trying to ignore an injury.
