Yup, seems like this was pretty obvious to even casual observers as early as May, maybe even April

Not really. They did the "normal" due diligence.

I didn't agree nor like it then. But this is/was the "accepted" standard I think.

It has everything to do with what we want and went, what they want and are willing to give up for now, etc.

Physicals are not typically done when trades are done. Exchanging medical records is, but Prince was hiding his condition then too. MRI's are not typically done either.

I think Prince's size and his decrease in bat speed prior to being traded removed him from the accepted standard way of doing things. Or at least it should have.

The hole is totally dependent on what we receive don't ya think?

You make it sound like Profar, although I appreciate the young man, is a "can't live without, once in a lifetime" type player. Not sure he's all that.
