Self-proclaimed Asshole
Maybe DeShields can stay hot awhile and build his trade value up for this coming offseason.
I could see him being traded now. He's proven he has the ability to be a lead off man.

I called it a few months ago....just pissed it took this long to diagnose.
As a recipient of neck surgery,it seems impossible to have hidden this long. Believe me something has a bad smell to it.Honestly.....this almost seems like the team hid from the harsh reality as long as it could.

You would think so.Doesn't it seem almost certain that we will hang onto Profar for at least the rest of this season now?
Dumb then and dumber nowThis brings back the question about why the Rangers didn't require a physical before acquiring Prince.

I think Prince's size and his decrease in bat speed prior to being traded removed him from the accepted standard way of doing things. Or at least it should have. Not really. They did the "normal" due diligence.
I didn't agree nor like it then. But this is/was the "accepted" standard I think.
See my response to Donald above.Physicals are not typically done when trades are done. Exchanging medical records is, but Prince was hiding his condition then too. MRI's are not typically done either.
The absence of Profar's bat would leave a hole as big as the one that was filled with the trade I would think.Again, not really.
It has everything to do with what we want and went, what they want and are willing to give up for now, etc.
See my response to Donald above.
I think you are unnecessarily giving the front office an excuse.I think you really love hindsight.

His size and his decrease in bat speed didn't require any hindsight.
