If you do that the team signs them for 1 year, fires them, replaces them with another minority coach and gets more picks. The scheme as it is rewards a team if they've given a position coach/player analyst a promotion to Co-ordinator or assistant GM and they get poached via promotion by another team. Same cost, better result.

Did these guys from the Niners all get promotions or just get follow a boss to the next job?

Funny since '93 the Packers have had two HOF starting QB's and the Steelers have had two HOF coaches.
You would think that consistency would have gotten more Super Bowl wins for both franchises during that time.

Robert Saleh left the 49ers DC job to become HC of the Jets. Mike McDaniel left the 49ers OC job to become HC of the Miami Dolphins. Martin Mayhew left the 49ers Vice president of player personnel, (assistant GM), job to become GM of the Commanders. DeMeco Ryans left the 49ers DC job to become HC of the Texans. Ran Carthon left the 49ers Director of player personnel, (assistant GM), job to become GM of the Titans.

All were promoted. None followed a former boss. The 49ers deserve the picks.

I’m on board with the intent of the rule but I think it may need to be tweaked similar to the FA compensatory picks where you get maxed out at a certain number. The compensatory picks they got for lost FAs and coaches/front office being hired away was 7! That’s some overkill. Maybe the system can spread the picks out so you don’t have a circumstance where you have a team get 7 compensatory picks. Shit, some teams don’t even have 7 draft picks in their entire draft at their disposal this April.

If your co-ordinators had been from minority backgrounds would you turn down 6 picks next year, (2 X 3rds for both co-ordinators and potentially 4 for players)? In Draft chart points the #1 overall pick is worth 3000, the #32 pick is worth 590, and the #97 pick is worth 112. The 49ers 7 compensatory picks in 2023 are collectively worth 318 points, which equates to the #58 pick. I don't see it as a big deal. The Dolphins forfeited a much more valuable pick just for having Tom Brady on Mr. Ross' yacht.

When you have a league where more than half the players are gay midgets, let me know. I’ll probably tune in for a minute.
He just threw together some shit.

What about.... Samoans. Not more than half but through the years been many. Many in today's games.

How many samoans/Polynesian coach now or any time in NFL?

Gonna use same inclusion head guy to find some of them? At least one for God's sake. The game depends on diversity to win.

And do you have to have played the game to coach? Curious.

Samoans are represented about right among coaches, I think. Troy Polamalu’s uncle is RB coach for the Raiders for example.

Why don’t they just make it any coordinators hired for a HC their previous team gets comp pick? That’ll help to keep down on the retreads maybe. Why does it have to always be about race? If you’re qualified for the damn job you’ll have as good of chance as anyone.

The NFL is trying to promote social change. What you're posted would instead reward successful teams, (the opposite of what the Draft is trying to achieve). Compared to the HC and GM situation of 10-20 years ago the NFL seems to be having some success.
