Almost sounds backwards though? They got picks for losing minority coaches, not hiring them?
Gotta hire them to lose them.

Obvious to me that black coaches are underrepresented, which means there are black coaches out there who are straight-up better than some of the white guys who have coaching jobs. Finding those guys and hiring them and getting picks when they get poached is a no-brainer. If I were running an NFL club I'd have somebody devoted solely to identifying those guys until the rest of the league wised up.

Gay midgets are severely underrepresented in the coaching ranks. How many picks should we give to encourage hiring?

When you have a league where more than half the players are gay midgets, let me know. I’ll probably tune in for a minute.

It wasn’t enough for him to virtue signal his hatred of minorities, he had to get the little people and the gays in there as well.

And also his lack of understanding of statistics.

Packed a lot into eighteen words. He’s kind of a genius.

Boooooo. Wish they changed it.
me too, but not because of the short yardage thing.
the rugby scrums that happen down field when a ball carrier gets stood up. I think A. is dangerous. You got guys flying into the crowd of people & B. Why should a ball carrier get credit for yardage if an OLineman is carrying him. he did not do it on his own.

I would have liked a rule change to something like no more than one player can push the ball carrier at one time.

I would have settled with them outlawing the formation that invites as many as 3 pushers based on alignment. Move your RB alignment up 2-3 yards and then you have one pusher. Edge personnel can defend that by trying to engage the pusher and knock him off his line. It gives the defense a fighting chance to defend it at least.

Wouldn't you award the picks for the signings then? And then to the team signing them away from the Niners?

Funny that forward progress is ruled if a player gets pushed backwards, but his teammates can push him forwards without penalty. Seems a little imbalanced...

If you do that the team signs them for 1 year, fires them, replaces them with another minority coach and gets more picks. The scheme as it is rewards a team if they've given a position coach/player analyst a promotion to Co-ordinator or assistant GM and they get poached via promotion by another team. Same cost, better result.
