thats kinda how I read it too.Maybe I’m reading it wrong but it Looks to me like he only costs a team $13.5M this year and just under $22M next year. If anything his contract makes him even more desirable. All of the dead money stays with the Rams so they’d be trading their best player and taking a bunch of dead money. The return would probably have to be pretty high for that.
So to me why would the Rams trade him?
It would have to come with a high price & maybe they negotiate some of that money owed to transfer to new team?
Whatever it is. The trade would probably be massive. because the new team would have him cheap. Unless they give him a new contract.
