On the other hand, if the Jets somehow lose to the Titans and struggle vs. the Pats, the F.O. will likely panic. Especially if those teams run the ball down their throat like the Niners did and their pass rush isn't very effective.

I totally would be cool with that if they can do it. But they might get leveraged out of it and you know GMs and owners don't have a lot of spine usually in these things if things go south.

Why do they trade for a player who is disgruntled and seeking a new deal if they had no intention of signing him though? That’s weird. You don’t make the trade unless you have an agreement in place.

Seriously, I didn’t like what I’ve seen out Nolan Smith and I’m worried about my pass rush. That being said that could go very wrong and be very weird. I don’t think that will happen but who knows.
