The Athletic's Chad Graff writes "the point of concern is nearing" for the Patriots offense after it has struggled badly throughout training camp.

"The running game struggled," Graff writes. "The receivers didn’t get open. The incompletions mounted." And the quarterbacks have been under constant pressure. With longtime OC Josh McDaniels gone, coach Bill Belichick has handed offensive coaching duties to ex-DC Matt Patricia and former special teams coach Joe Judge. Patricia is coaching the offensive line and calling the plays while Judge is handling Mac Jones and the quarterbacks. Just an utter nightmare. It's a big concern for Jones' development. This offense is completely devoid of playmakers, and the coaching sounds even worse.
It's all over for the Patriots - again - just like every other year!

Best of the NFL out of Jacksonville this past weekend:

Jax fans yelling at Watson as he goes 1-5 for 7 yards:

You sick fuck! you sick fuck! You sick fuck!

Should say two centers down. Not necessarily the top 2. Still sucks though

Shocking Talib may have been involved. Original reports were about him throwing a chair or something. Once a piece of shit...

LOGAN BRUSSG, LOS ANGELES RAMS
https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/67726/logan-bruss

Rams OG Logan Bruss has suffered a torn ACL and MCL and will miss the 2022 season.

Bruss suffered the injury in Friday evening's preseason game. The picks-poor Rams' top draft selection at No. 104 this spring, Bruss had been in the mix to serve as the Rams' top reserve interior lineman. Now the 23-year-old (in October) will shift his attention toward getting healthy for training camp 2023. Bruss also struggled with neck and shoulder issues his final season at Wisconsin in 2021. Players with these sort of early-career injury issues often struggle to last beyond their rookie contract

Never good when guys who seem injury prone are already injured

The Athletic reports there is "optimism" Miles Sanders (hamstring) will be ready for Week 1.

Per reporters Bo Wulf and Zach Berman, "the early word is Sanders should be back on the field by then." The reporters did allow there is "intrigue" with the recurrence of Sanders' hamstring woes, but coach Nick Sirianni has hinted the team is largely exercising caution. There are 22 days between now and the Eagles' opener. Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott would form a committee were Sanders not ready to go.
