I think Tyrell Williams will out play Travis Benjamin... but PPR, I'm not sure he's worth a look. Then again, you're looking at the (maybe) 3rd best player on the Rams skill positions... maybe Rivers' #4 is better?

Id drop Steve Smith for your choice of the TEN WRs, I recently drafted Mathews over Sharpe in a PPR league, either or, but I think one of them provides WR2/Flex appeal this season.
Either one should get more targets than Steve Smith on a weekly basis imo.
I'm not buying the Torrey Smith love on the Chip bump. I understand someone has to catch it, I'm just not sold its going to be him.

Im with ya on Matthews, I think he will be on a roster in all leagues within the first few weeks.....

I think Vance Mcdonald is the sleeper of all sleepers, and will be the target monster you are talking about in San Fran

I'm still leaning towards @TREFF and taking perennial disappointment Kenny Britt. He should be targeted plenty. No?

4.5.
Started all 16 games, didn't miss much if any snaps from being banged up, the Rams were competitive in most games, but rarely leading for more than a series or two, and this guy still only averaged 4.5 targets on the season.

More than 5 targets: 3 games
Less than 4 targets: 6 games

He's not the PPR sleeper you might think, and I can't see how this offense throws MORE to the outside receivers than what they have the last couple seasons.

(averaged 5.2 targets the year before, still really only had 2-3 good games though, same as last year)

Thanks, Smo, Treff and Dirt.
I'm making my own head spin with this. :sigh:
I'm updating my list of possibilities for this last vacant PPR spot:

WR Rishard Matthews
WR Tajae Sharpe
WR Kenny Stills
WR Kenny Britt
WR Anquan Boldin
WR Mike Wallace
RB Tyler Ervin (reminder that this league rewards KR/PR & he may also backup Miller as the #2)
TE Jesse James
TE Jordan Cameron
RB Chris Thompson
WR Chris Conley
WR Dwayne Harris (KR/PR)

Rishard Matthews - WR - Titans
Rishard Matthews has been seeing increased reps in the slot with Kendall Wright (hamstring) still sidelined.

"We are going to move him inside a little bit, give him a little more playing time in there with Kendall being out. So he has a little more on his plate," coach Mike Mularkey said. "I am really happy with Rishard. ... His blocking has been very good." Matthews is playing inside and out and figures to play heavy snaps right out of the gate. He and Tajae Sharpe appear to be the top-two receivers, followed up by Andre Johnson and Harry Douglas. Wright may not have a role upon return.

have to like a WR on a run-oriented team where the HC is singing his praises for his blocking. Pretty much guarantees that he'll be on the field if he blocks well, and they are moving him around to be a part of every formation.

I now change my opinion and agree with anyone who has said Matthews.

I have a feeling Sharpe is a pre-season darling, force fed balls to get acclimated quickly. Once the season starts, it'll be business as usual, run run run, pass to the #1, pass to the TE, run run run

I was the summer leader of the Coates train... great camp, great practices... can't convert it to game day....... yet. I think they want him to step up, and if he does, Wheaton doesn't stand a chance.

But I was probably wrong......... go figure.
They certainly do want him to step up. He has all the tools, and has shown the reasons why they drafted him. But he is still fairly raw. Route running is not his specialty. But he seems to have improved his hands from his Auburn days. I hope to see him take the next step, but sadly I think we are still another season away from seeing him really shine. We'll see more glimpses this season. He'll likely frustrate the hell out of fantasy owners. Hope I'm wrong though & he explodes!!

That was chuckle worthy!

Can you imagine if they were the #1 and #2 QB on Green Bay? Lol

I had Chris Chambers a number of years back - - they always bragged on his blocking - too bad you don't get points for that. ...... That aside, if I had to take a pass catcher on the Titans not named Walker, it would be him.

Jamaal Charles - RB - Chiefs
Speaking on SiriusXM Fantasy, ESPN Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher suggested Jamaal Charles might not play Week 1.
"If he plays it won't be a lot," Teicher added. "He certainly won't be the starter." This is the second time this week Teicher has questioned Charles' early-season role, saying Tuesday he still has not established himself as the clear-cut No. 1 back. These comments take the concern even a step further, questioning if Charles will even play Week 1. Always overvalued at the top of the second round, Charles needs to be moved way down draft boards. Spencer Ware is worth a look as early as the sixth round.

This is sounding eerily similar to the chatter surrounding Peterson in 2012. The same chatter that allowed me to get him in the late second (ironically Charles was my 1st), the same chatter that led me to leave Peterson on the bench week 1 and miss his 20 pt game.
I'm not in any way saying Charles will be the 2012 AP, what I'm saying is don't take this talk as gospel. If he's active, I'm starting him
