Looking for some last minute advice...

I have a draft at the bottom of the hour.
It's basically a 2-QB league because of a "OP" flex position.
PPR
I'm the new owner of the 12.
I pick in the 9th spot.

My Question: If guys start drafting normally and not targeting QB early, should I break the mold, or should I follow suit and try to get the best available?

Just joined my first 2 QB league (12 teamer as well) which seemed to have to have the same format as yours. Weirdly enough I also had the #9 pick and I expected QBs to really start flying off the board and that I would just load up everywhere else and try to grab 2 cheap QBs. However, only Cam had gone by my pick and I ended up taking Rodgers at 9 and then Brees with my second round pick. Still managed to get what I felt like was a decent team around that too so Im pretty happy.

Wait a minute, a 2 QB roster limit in a 2 QB league? That makes no sense, are you supposed to dump one for a scrub on the bye, take a zero?

I could see a limit of 3, but 2??
Mmm your right, should be 3. Might be why some didn't go QB early.

Well, I did follow your advice.
But the draft didn't go that way after all.
These guys knew what they were doing from the way they were picking. (PPR too.)
Plus I was drafting simultaneously in another draft. The other draft went well.
This one? You tell me:

QB: Cam & Brees
RB: McCoy, Gordon, Bernard, Crowell, White, Forsett
WR: Keenan, Moncreif, Torrey, Steve Smith
TE: Walker
D: Vikes

Intersting. Our drafts went pretty similarly. (Mine is also ppr, 12 team, QB Flex league)

QB: Rodgers, Brees, Osweiler
RB: McCoy, Gore, White, Thompson, McKinnon
WR: Jeffery, J Brown, Floyd, Gordon, Snead
TE: Eifert, Clay
D: Cards

I think youre a little stronger at RB and Im a little stronger at WR. Kinda weirdly similar though IMO.

I believe its just Superflex so you can play any other player at that spot youd just obviously prefer it be a QB. At least thats how mine is.

Technically, it isn't called a 2-QB league.
One of the spots is an "OP" flex that allows for a QB/RB/WR/TE.
You'd be crazy not to insert a QB there.

I still may need some advice (and was thinking of just making another thread).

Here's my offense:
QB: Cam & Brees
RB: McCoy, Gordon, Bernard, Crowell, White, Forsett
WR: Keenan, Moncreif, Torrey, Steve Smith
TE: Walker

These are some of the WR still available in this PPR league that I would consider. Who would you swap and why? I'm listing them per FantasyPros' ECR but bolding my faves:
Rishard Matthews
Tajae Sharpe
Mike Wallace
Pierre Garcon
Sammie Coates
Kenny Stills
> Isn't he the WR2 ahead of DeVante?
Terrance Williams
Jamison Crowder
Nelson Agholor
Kenny Britt > kind of like him seeing he's the WR1 on a poor team that most likely will pass.

These are some of the RB still available. Again, who would you swap and why?
Shaun Draughn
Chris Thompson > Matt Jones is already banged up.
Javorious Allen
Tim Hightower > Ingram won't last the whole season.
Thanks for the help. You guys are the best.

Yeah, the "OP", or super flex, explains that.

As to your possible roster moves..we all know in what regard I hold players coming of Achilles years, or pateller tendon tears, so I'd take virtually any of those WR's over Smith, but my favorites would be Wallace or Britt.
At RB, I think Shuan Draughn is a better bet for a handful of points in Chip Kelly's system than JamesWhite will be in.BB's. Never know when.he decides Bolden is his scat back that week and White may as well not exist. And Hyde is already having issues, and isn't exactly a picture if durability either.
Thompson is nice, but not so sure his role grows much even if Jones isn't in the picture. He's a Redskins version of Theo Riddick in my book. But would take him over White

I'm still not buyin the Coates hype train... He's been having a pretty bad preseason, and he's already losing targets to a UDFA (Eli Rogers). Not to mention DHB is still in the mix. Coates is a huge gamble at this point. I predict he'll be on the waiver wire after week 1 or 2 if he was drafted.

He went bye-bye this morning for me.

Good choice... I could see him having a big game and then everyone rushing to the waiver wire to grab him and then he disappears for the rest of the season.

Id drop Steve Smith for your choice of the TEN WRs, I recently drafted Mathews over Sharpe in a PPR league, either or, but I think one of them provides WR2/Flex appeal this season.
Either one should get more targets than Steve Smith on a weekly basis imo.
I'm not buying the Torrey Smith love on the Chip bump. I understand someone has to catch it, I'm just not sold its going to be him.

I was the summer leader of the Coates train... great camp, great practices... can't convert it to game day....... yet. I think they want him to step up, and if he does, Wheaton doesn't stand a chance.

But I was probably wrong......... go figure.

@TKOSpikes @SteelersPride @SmokingMonkey @FaCe-LeE-uS

Thanks for the input guys.
The problem with taking Sharpe is I already have TE Walker.
The problem with selecting Patton is I already have Torrey.
I'm still leaning towards @TREFF and taking perennial disappointment Kenny Britt. He should be targeted plenty. No?
