Yes that was a major concern, along with the limited amount of starts.

His completion percentage thus far as a pro?
59.5%

League average 64.5%, been above 60% since 2007
Everything points to a big unknown. Only 84 attempts so far as a pro, only 393 in college.

I was trying to stick it in a spoiler, but it seems to have been gotten rid of. The answer was Aikman.
NFL rule changes, specifically the illegal contact, and the 'hits in defenseless receivers', have changed the game since the 90's early 2000's.

The short/intermediate middle of the feild which used to be an absolute 'no go' seeing as your receiver would generally get his head taken off, are now the place to go, and it's a high percentage throw... thus, higher completion percentages since

Aikman wasn't great statistically even in his era. He was just good at leading that team to winning rings. He got 'em a ring even with Switzer coaching.

Nope he wasn't. Efficient, Manning-esque at getting the team in the right situation any given play, and riding amazing defenses/run games

Looking around... Stafford, too. 53.3% as a rookie, led the league in accuracy a couple years ago.

Stafford's rookie year was year #1 of the 'defenseless receiver' mularky.. and come on, he played in Detriot, as a rookie, cut the poor guy some slack.
Accuracy was never a knock on Stafford.

But he did have the same durability concerns, albeit for different reasons

So I found a guy on youtube that put together consensus rankings of sleeper, yahoo and espn and value for each platform. No paywall too.

Accuracy and decision making were knocks for a long time. He has improved immensely over the years. Especially for a guy who will always be more tough than he is bright.

“Glassford” was a concern too. But most put the blame on Jeff Backus sucking at LT. I don’t think many actually worried that Matt had brittle bones.

Not many rookie QBs that go #1 have a guy like Calvin Johnson there waiting for them. Wasn’t till CJ quit that Stafford really came into his own as a QB imo. Without his security blanket, he took a big step up.
