Random FF Thoughts

Not to overshadow the BATG draft, but I had a draft with friends tonight.
Ugh.
It's a 12-team 2QB league with a 2-QB maximum.
(Actually, the 2nd QB position is "OP" or "offensive position" flex that allows a QB.)
Last year, they treated this like a normal draft.
Was pretty much expecting the same this year.
Was awarded the #2 draft spot.
All was going well until midway through the 3rd round.
Then QB started slowly coming off the board.
Took a risk and held off until round 6.
But by then I was on the tail end of round 6 with the 71st pick.
Out of desperation I drafted Luck (71) and then Goff (74).
I don't even want to show my team.
Ugh.

If it helps anyone else in a 2-QB league, the QB went like this:

17) Rodgers
22) Brady
33) Watson
38) Newton
39) Wilson
44) Brees
45) Roethlisberger
49) Wentz
54) Cousins
63) Carr
66) Stafford
67) Rivers

Should have taken Garoppolo. Goff is legit. Luck is questionable.

I have a 6pt passing td league left to draft.
The order the QBs come off the board this year cracks me up. People are really taking Watson that high everywhere. Crazy. Too bad you missed on the Rivers/Stafford section, those two are stable and elite but go last of the starters. Ryan is pretty solid overall as well. I'll be incredibly comfy waiting here.

Funny you mention that... Stafford/Rivers were my targets all along.
This league is my worst nightmare.
Last year drafted Luck (never played) and Newton (down year).
Not a Garoppolo fan. Too small a sample size. And exPatriot QB don't usually do well outside of Foxborough.
Trust me, I'm kicking Luck to the curb if there is any hint he's missing time.

This league is just friends.
And 40% of them autopick.
The other 40% take it serious.
The remaining 20% are in the middle.

Has anyone else had an ESPN horror story?

I had no issues last night in the MBBRL on ESPN. Smitty did, though. I have one last draft on ESPN. Actually 2 more leagues that use ESPN, but the 2nd is a live draft. I am a little worried since my son is in the same league as I am on that online draft and we will be using a computer for one of us and my phone for the other. We will see, though.

Yeah, my other draft last night was in ESPN and went a lot smoother. Gave me a bit more confidence for the KOTF tonight.

And Hoyer was even fantasy useful a couple different times.

None had the draft prospect status that Jimmy had. And Jimmy already was producing outside of foxboro until the season ran out of games.

With Shanahan is a good spot to land.

If I remember correctly Cassel started out respectfully in his first handful of games also before going south.

I hope Jimmy does ok (since he's a local kid). Perhaps as a fantasy backup he's worth a shot, but I'd rather use the bench spot for another skill position.

And if we're talking about a 2QB league, I need more than "potential." But that's me.
