So obviously they drafted gurley to bell cow........

But mason was pretty good that last stretch and gurley is on the NFI list

So personally, I assume with their big investment in Gurley they bring him along slowly..........

what if tre Mason has 3-4 100 yard games to open the season with 2-3 TD's and some catches.....

Makes things interesting....

OK looked it up, he had like 2 100 yards games last year and 4 TDs for the year. Don't get your FF hopes up SP. Gurley was drafted for a reason.

No, but Gurley is banged up

Yeah, But how does that turn Mason into a 100 yard per game runner, with a bunch of TDs? It doesn't. First 4 games last year Mason had a total of 212 yards and 1 TD. I don't see that changing.

Fisher has always been good at finding RB's and i think Mason and Gurley will coexist in the backfield. Fisher drafted Lendale White in the second round in 2006 and two years later drafted Chris Johnson in round one. CJ and White ran all over the league that year. The same year 2008 he drafted Johnson he also had a good offensive line and outstanding defense in route to a 13-3 league best record. He is gearing up i think for a playoff run. He has a QB now in Foles. Killer RB tandem. Notice between the regular draft, supplemental and free agency he has brought in around six offensive linemen he is deadly serious about controlling time of possession controlling the trenches, using the run game and then bending but not breaking on defense. Also every where has been he has had a great FG kicker. Fisher holds the records for most FG in a game with eight made back in 2007.

I think Rams,Seahawks,Cards could all end up around 10-6 possibly with one team maybe 9-7. Good chance they could send three from that division to the postseason.

It was hypothetical,...

Gurley blew his knee in mid-November. I doubt he even gets 150 touches this season IMO. They would be fools to rush him back. That said: Fisher can be a bit of a fool and his record this year probably decides whether he stays a head coach or retires or transitions back to a DC.

That's the rehab question.

....from a fantasy perspective, I play in a couple of keeper leagues and Gurley is one of my big targets in the draft. It is really easy to see Gurley being a top 5 RB heading into the 2017 draft.

Honestly, looking at the first 4 games they play the Rams offense have a tough row to hoe. Week 1 Seattle comes in for Opening weekend; then they go to Washington; week 3 is the Steelers at home; Week 4 is in Arizona. There is a very good chance they go 1-3 in that stretch. I really doubt Seattle, Pittsburgh, and Arizona give up big numbers so it's likely they will be more than happy to bring Gurley in asap.

Mason didn't play to start the season because he hadn't had to pick up a blitz since high school.

You're going to see Mason start the season, Benny Cunningham play on third downs, and Gurley mix in on all three downs.

Fisher is notorious for starting out the season slow.

I think Gurley and Mason will split time to start the season.

This is what you call a good problem in the NFL. They have little money invested in Mason, who is playing on his rookie deal. They can play both, or play one and let the other sit. I suspect Mason will eventually be traded but not this season.

Odds are you won't see Gurley play much if at all until the 2nd half of the season. Mason will have time to prove himself as the lead back but he will need to capitalize on it before there is pressure to have Gurley show why he was taken in the first round.

Gurley on the active roster. Ineligible for reserve/NFI, and will be on the roster week 1.
