Drew Brees lets go of the ball so fast that a heavy blitz will not work, what was wrong in the first half yesterday was playing zone coverage, he was just picking the Rams apart. The problem is Peters and Shields a couple of games ago got punked trying to play man coverage so they went to zone for the Saints game. They were man to man on that last ridiculous TD by the Saints.
At this point I'm not even sure Talib coming back will fix what is wrong in our pass coverage.
I heard Peters is playing hurt, if that's true he should be on the bench until he is 100% because he is not helping he is hurting the Rams.
And like I've said before. The Rams are paying huge bucks for a D line that can't get to the QB. Did Brockers change his name? because I haven't heard it called all season.

Agreed. Don’t want to risk further injury. Hopefully we can win against Seattle on Sunday and then go all out against Kansas City the following Monday. We have the bye after that so by the time we go up to Detroit, we should be well rested.

Let’s get to the bye week and get an extra week off. I’m still going to buy into “Wade knows what he’s doing”.

The D hasn’t had to be great because the offense pretty much has. Now they can move on from thinking about going undefeated. I didn’t expect a super bowl this year I just expect an NFC championship appearance and who knows from there.

Peters is a stand up guy, he said he has not played well the past few weeks and that will change. He knows he is better than he has been playing. I'm guessing/hoping he turns it around next week against the SeaHawks.

Well in defense of the defense
We've been giving up a lot of points, but it has been to very good offenses, these other teams have also been giving up a lot of points to the Rams! Other teams have also been giving up a lot of points to these same teams we have been playing!

Chargers, Vikes, Packers, Saints, Seahawks! All scored over 20 points against us, all have great offenses, with exception of Seattle, which isn't bad and they always play us tough! So we still have to play KC and Philly, we may give up over 30 points against them, its to be expected, even if we do have a good defense?
With KC's habit of big plays and our habit of giving up big plays, they may score 50 on us???

Again its a combination of these teams having good offenses, and the fact that we have a good offense, so other teams are going to have to score to keep up with us, and they are very capable of doing that!
At least we pretty much shut down the crappy teams we play, we just need to score more against the better teams we play?

It would be great if we can finish 14-2, but I'd settle for 12-4

Peters was touted as the best Cornerback in the league when we went after him. He has done little to live up to that billing and we are paying him a boatload. I say if he hasn't performed up to expectations by the bye week, that Snead and McVay need to make a decision about his future. No worries, with this defense, we are not going any further than the first round of the playoffs this year, just like last year.

$11 mill total over 2 seasons for a starting cornerback isn't a boatload but he is certainly not playing as well as the Rams had hoped when they traded for him.

i agree... i can see the same dumbshit happening like last yr.. starters with no playoff exp getting rested only to come out completely out of sync when it matters.. This team is good enough for 12 - 14 wins but the way the defense is set up... we can expect to see the Saints or the Panthers battle for the SB.

Well, as much as I want to blame the loss on the fake FG and the FG miss, the defense has to start stepping up. 45 pts to the Saints is not going to work, especially with a wide open Thomas jogging for the clinching TD.

Fake Field Goal was a great call, unexpected by everyone. It worked, but we got screwed over and everyone agrees. It was a big difference maker, it completely took any momentum we had away.

... No it's a fact he's a garbage ass corner.. gets exposed week in and week out.. yet the FO sees something to keep him on the field. Rams need to chalk this up as a loss...just like wasting a pick for Sammy watkins, they fucked up again with this dipshit...

I def know this... but that's why i was asking about the 115 out of 120 thing... Reminds me of Tree's performance last year(not that he's much better this year) but at least we didnt have to trade for him...
