Saw the game and wondered if it was going to affect the Rams game in Week 2. Then I got an NFL alert on my NFL mobile app that said status for Week 2 was in question.

There was some discussion of this during Monday night's game. It was noted that Fisher wanted Goff to experience his first NFL game from the sideline to experience the change in overall speed (etc) without the pressure of having to play. He could then be the backup in game 2 to take the next step.

Fisher seems to have a plan for Goff and doesn't want the team's successes or failures to compact that plan.

I still would've liked to see Mannion in the second half Monday night.

Being the #2 ramps up his reps during the week though. Without those, it's a much slower process to being ready.

Chiefs just waived their 2016 3rd round pick KeiVarae Russell (CB, Notre Dame). He shouldn't last long on the waiver wire, will he make it to the Rams? Major program CB with 4.4 speed, even if he's going to be slow to catch on, is an easy waiver choice IMO.

I have a feeling that if Goff starts right now, he'll turn into a David Carr. A guy with potential that had it all wiped away because he keeps getting hammered in the backfield with a below average offensive line and WRs. No reason not to start Mannion in my opinion.

Thats exactly what will happen! Keenum will probably get carted off on a strecher soon. Then we will see Goff get fed to the lions! With no supporting cast, he will hold onto the ball too long and get Bulgerized! ....Bank it! Then we will be in the market for yet another qb!

Heck Todd Gurley will soon want off this team! He is all we have offensively! Defenses easily stack the box to stuff him. He will get tired of continuosly getting stuffed at the LOS. Can you imagine Gurley playing on a decent team like the Patriots or say the Pittsburgh Steelers? What a waste of talent!

Part of me says keep Goff in street clothes the rest of the season or until the o-line learns how to pass block. Let Mannion have his day.

meh, we'll probably go 6-8 or 7-9 and trade up again from 15.
