That is exactly what happened ALR. Jones wanted to get paid and McShitferBrains said no and it got into a pissing match kept "in house". McShitferBrains doesn't tolerate ANY pissing matches. It is his way or the highway and Jones wasn't one of his "boyz" but he was a leader in the locker room and on the field.

Instead of affording Jones the same grace he affords shit players like Bobby Evans and those two idiots in the ILB position, he got rid of him without a whimper. Just stupid is right!

There is an element of McShitferBrains that will never be discussed through the media but McShitferBrains is somewhat of a micromanager and some people are never allowed to explore their talents. Just ask OCs Coen and Kevin O'Connell. They left and are doing well elsewhere.
He micromanaged Goff too, and look what he has done with an OC that knows how to use him.

He had Goff so frustrated that he couldn't see straight and then he had the balls enough to blame Goff. That automatically means out-the-door! Then he wouldn't let Coen or O'Connell use Goff in the way he should have been used by not allowing either to call game plays. Now look what O'Connell is doing with the Vikes. 3-0 to open the season.

I don't understand the media's obsession with the idea of the Rams trading for a midget QB. I suppose since McShitferBrains has an obsession with midget running backs, somehow that would carry-over to trading draft assets for a midget QB. Who knows at this point.

Yep. Nacua is going to be out for awhile and probably longer than what most people are expecting.

Indeed. This mess started with a poor approach to allowing players to PT on their own, playing people in the preseason leading to massive injuries, trading away the best ILB we had, and not playing players who they drafted once again.

Should he get touches? Sure, they need him to develop and get worked into the offense. Did Kyren and Rivers struggle yesterday? No, they were both pretty efficient.
They honestly could have ran the ball more. I would like to see him more if we have a big lead or can't come back for now.

Yep BattleLyon. The combo of AD and Earnest Jones made our D what it used to be. AD's retirement and the complete dumbass movement of EJ is completely devastating. Shula as DC is also a contributing factor to the bullshit we see on the field that results in those horrid stats and a sieve defense the likes we have not seen since the days of the Drama Queen!! Way to go McShitferBrains!!

I know this sounds insane to say, but McVay needs to retire- like today.

The guy has lost his freaking mind. I don’t know if he’s not getting enough sleep because of his baby, or his focus is too much on his new wife and baby, but his heart isn’t in the job anymore, and it’s affecting his decision making.

Trading EJ, not finding a way to use Atwell for 3+ seasons, not using Corum, thinking Reeder and Rozebum are starting level LB and not giving Speights a chance when it is clear to everyone the other 2 guys suck, signing White and continuing to play him when he is obviously broken, etc.

Unless the Rams are really wanting a top 5-10 pick this next year, there is no reason to keep McVay around till the end of the season.

Is it possible the defensive decisions at LB (about 9 of your 10 gripes above) are in the hands of the DC?

Corum is the #3 RB right now. His only carries have been garbage time in a blow out. It's time to accept that the rhetoric that he was going usurp Kyren quickly was a miss. He's depth should Kyren get hurt as he is a very similar player generally.

Its funny to see the Atwell rhetoric is now shifting from "why they hell did they draft this little turd" to "why couldn't McVay make this work sooner" lol.

Barring a controversy, McVay is the head coach moving forward until he decides to not be. Most of the shortcomings this season have been direct results of injuries and shifting to depth players to try to keep the boat afloat. Even so, they've been in 3 close games against 2 postseason favorites and a Bears team on the rise and one blowout vs a division opponent.

It does not fall solely on the DC, its the collective bunch of dipshits that caused the problem. AD retiring was going to leave a hole no doubt, but trading a defensive captain away for no good reason at all, no backup plan along with the poor upkeep on that side of the ball is what got us here. Mcvay is the HEAD coach at the end of the day, so he should have a say in personnel. But if you waste a 2nd round pick on a guy who is sparingly used then thats coaching malpractice, wasting a 3rd on a RB who doesn't see the field when clearly other needs were there is coaching mal practice. Refusing to shift to the run game more and sprinkle little wrinkles here and there when clearly your team is hurting is coaching mal practice.

This guy has to take the blame for his mess and he needs to be put on the hot seat for allowing these personnel moves alone.
