Well, I haven't received my letter yet, but yesterday per SB Nation, CJF sent out this open letter to the 56K LA Rams depositors.

Los Angeles Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher Sends Open Letter To Season Ticket Depositors

Yesterday, LA Rams HC Jeff Fisher sent out a letter to the more than 56,000 fans who placed a deposit for season tickets. Here's the full text.

Dear (Depositor's Name)

We are tremendously proud to be writing our first letter to the great Los Angeles Rams fans who have placed a season ticket deposit. There is a significant amount of work to be done in the next few months as we prepare to kickoff this fall at the Coliseum, but we wanted to take a moment from our offseason preparations to both thank you for your deposit and give you a preview of what the Los Angeles Rams offseason will look like.

We will begin our offseason training on April 18, which will be the first time our team assembles as the Los Angeles Rams. We are still in the process of finalizing where our offseason workouts will take place, but we fully expect this will be the beginning of a season that sees us compete for the NFC West title. Last year, we had a NFC West division-best 4-2 record and are looking to build on that as we head into the 2016 season. Training Camp will take place in late July in the greater Southern California region and will be free and open to the public. Once the location and dates are finalized, we will be sure to let you know.

We could not be more excited about the future prospects for our Rams moving forward. Less than two weeks ago, Todd Gurley was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, which follows Aaron Donald's NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award from 2014. In addition to having the reigning back-to-back Rookies of the Year, Tavon Austin is looking to build off his breakout season, which saw him gain nearly 1,200 yards and score 10 touchdowns. Collectively, we are excited to be bringing one of the NFL's fiercest defenses and the NFL's youngest team - a team that we built for long-term success - to Los Angeles.

Beginning this week, myself and our GM Les Snead , along with our coaches, scouts and football operations staff, will begin reviewing our free agency plan for March and preparing for the NFL Combine, which begins on February 23 in Indianapolis. After the Combine, we will be working to have a successful free agency period and then begin draft meetings in early April. We are the only NFL team to have three selections in the first 50 picks and four selections in the first 95 picks, so this draft will be an exciting one for Los Angeles Rams fans.

On a personal note, I could not be more excited to be returning as the head coach of the Rams to the city where I was raised. From playing high school football in the valley to playing college football at USC, this is a wonderful opportunity for me and I can't wait to lead our team out of the tunnel at the Coliseum. I look forward to seeing you at our off-season events and at the Coliseum this fall. We will make you proud of your Rams!

Sincerely,

Jeff Fisher

Rams cut JL55, Chris Long and Cookie. Fisher actually might be getting smart.

I'm sure they both have input. If the coach hands down all decisions to the GM, what's the point of having a GM?
You are missing out on the key point here shops. 'Final Decision' that'd be the difference.

I'm not missing anything, I understand completely; I just think it's a bit silly to credit the coach on every GM transaction. Final decision would only come into play if they disagreed; Fisher and Snead are a team. As mentioned elsewhere, Fisher is usually fiercely loyal to his hard-working players. I'm guessing ownership has actual final decision anyway.

I'm wondering what they are intending with the cap space, could be interesting. Does this mean Saffold is staying, since the other 3 were announced together?

Shopson - I do believe it means Saffold is staying. It definitely is not a coincidence that all three were announced together. It's the same way we announce our draft pick signings - for the most part the majority are announced together.

P.S. - Fisher hired Snead.

Well when you ask a question like this....
If the coach hands down all decisions to the GM, what's the point of having a GM?
It implies something different from what you've just posted, wouldn't you agree?

My point is, the GM under Fisher is responsible for doing the due diligence of player scouting, working under the umbrella for the the type of offensive, defensive and special teams philosophy Jeff is attempting to implement, coach to and win with.

Alls I'm saying is when there is a conflict to this approach, CJF has the final say.

Is Ethan Westbrooks the “Next Man Up” For the Los Angeles Rams?
By Brandon Bate@NoPlanB_ on Feb 21, 2016, 8:30a 32

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport thinks fans should get to know Los Angeles Rams’ defensive end Ethan Westbrooks

 TWEET SHARE (172) PIN
It took much of the NFL world by surprise when the Los Angeles Ramsannounced, at once, they’d be releasing veterans James Laurinaitis, Chris Long, and Jared Cook. But for the NFL’s, seemingly always, youngest team, getting youth into those positions [and saving a few bucks along the way] is the direction they’ve chosen to go in 2016.

And after paying respects to the now-free agent players, folks turned to speculation. WHO is going to fill those positions for the Rams?

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport casually threw out one name on Saturday afternoon...

We received no further clarification from Rap Sheet as to whether or not he’d heard this from a source close to the team, or whether it’s sheer speculation on his own. Regardless, it’s out there, and it might not be inaccurate.

"Laugh Now, Cry Later."

That’s what Westbrooks has tattooed on his right cheek, just below his eye. And that tattoo, for many, threw up red flags for scouts/coaches in 2014, when the defensive end out of West Texas A&M was looking to enter the NFL.

Now, about this tattoo. If you didn’t already know, Westbrooks got this tattoo as a form of motivation. Motivation to not settle for a job anywhere other than the NFL...

I was just like I might as well go ahead and get it on the face because if nothing else, it will help motivate me to either be a guy that has a tattoo on his face looking for another job or hopefully I make it in the NFL and don’t have to work too hard to do something else. I don’t feel it’s a bad thing now. I don’t regret it. It speaks for itself.

RED FLAGS!

Sadly, a face tattoo totally took the focus off of what Westbrooks’ was able to accomplish on the football field. Seemingly all of his draft profiles contained the words "character concerns" or "red flags." NFL.com’s draft profile, written by Nolan Nawrocki, literally leads off with the words "Has a daughter." RED FLAG!

Despite it all, Westbrooks played well enough in college to earn 4th round grades for some. At a minimum, his talents were good enough to be taken before Mr. Irrelevant, with the last pick in the 7th round. But, for reasons related to character or otherwise, it didn’t happen. Even after being named the Defensive MVP of the East-West Shrine game [where he had two sacks] in 2014, Westbrooks went undrafted.

And it’s been pretty quiet since. Not a peep about off-field issues.

With injuries sustained by Chris Long and Robert Quinn in 2015, Westbrooks - along with fellow DE’s Eugene Sims and William Hayes - saw increased playing time. Sims and Hayes would play roughly 50% of the teams snaps last year. Westbrooks, despite playing in 13 games, was on the field for approximately 24% of the team’s defensive plays.

He tallied a pair of sacks in back-to-back games against the Browns and 49ers. After taking down Josh McCown and Colin Kaepernick, Westbrooks got up, took a pat on the helmet from a teammate, and quietly walked back to the line of scrimmage, getting ready for the next play. There was no Bernie dance, no crazy Chris Long...whatever that was. There was no celebration of any kind.

As for whether or not Westbrooks makes the leap from third on the depth chart to lining up opposite Robert Quinn on first down this fall remains to be seen. But Jeff Fisher, in early November, noted that there wasn’t a lapse in productivity when Westbrooks came into the game to spell William Hayes.

When Ethan (Westbrooks) comes in, there’s no drop off.

It’s too early to tell, but Westbrooks, who won’t turn 26 until mid-November, might be a part of Fisher’s plan towards the never-ending youth movement. Hayes [30] and Sims [29] are both free agents, and while one would assume they’d be brought back for depth reasons, there are no guarantees...especially considering the Rams will only have to pay Westbrooks a paltry $606,668 in 2016.

If Rapoport is right, hopefully the focus turns to what kind of football player Ethan Westbrooks is, and can be. Maybe then we can turn our attention to a few of the positive-s Nawrocki saw in him...

Well put together with good size and length. Stands out against Division II competition. Has natural pass-rush ability and shows tenacity hunting QBs. Explosive off the snap -- bursts into blockers. Disruptive penetrating ability. Athletic and flexible. Excellent balance and body control executing pass-rush moves. Spins off blocks. Ranges and covers ground in a hurry when his fire is lit. Stood out vs. better postseason competition.

Because so many people have asked me about the Los Angeles Rams uniforms, and whether they’ll go back to their old L.A. Rams color scheme, this is what Rams’ President Kevin Demoff told me about where the Rams are on uniforms Friday on my radio show on the Beast 980:

“It is never a conversation without talking about the uniforms. People have been sending me uniform ideas, and we are open to any and all ideas. One thing I will say about the uniforms is, when we begin the process of a uniform re-design we’ll engage the community and we’ll engage the fans. I know they all love the old color scheme and that’s something that’s on the plate and we’ll continue to discuss it as we move forward. But the throwbacks we use now, the old 70’s and 80’s colors, will certainly have a place over the next few seasons and from there we’ll see what can be done.”
