However if you are a pocket passer in today’s NFL and in the playoffs, a clean pocket ain’t happnin a lot so you better be an athlete and figure out how to make plays.
I agree, but we didn't sign JG in 2020 or even extend him in 2020, and he was never on Vita's radar on either account in the way they did it either time...

2020 or Today's NFL, is changing before our eyes, and both you and I have been on the early curve with these dual threat QB's. Remember just a few years ago we both were looking at M&M and Hundley? Sure both are hard to find these days, but the mold of those two has increased so much considering these freaks on the NFL D-lines.

Maybe, just maybe JW gives us our best chance, but he better start using his head when on the run, (Or is that stop using his head when on the run sliding IDK :dhd: ) Either way, the health of a Dual Treat QB (DTQB) is crucial to the success of a team, can't afford to have 3 DTQB'S on a roster. So to have a PM like they do in KC, DW in Houston, or even a LJ in Balt, they need to be heady QB's, but in the right way! (Sorry I couldn't resist another jab at JW)

Nice banter between some old combatants. Like the stats and sech. I watched alot of the SEC Alabama Crimson Tide destroy Ohio State yesterday. I watched the O-lineman and they have a senior left tackle that we should try to get in the second round if he is available. Alex Leatherwood. Just dominated the D-lineman wherever he went last night. Dude is 6-6, 318lbs. Whitworth dimensions. Could groom him and voila, Goff will be protected for some time to come.

Just don't think you read very much SJ, your own article said splits for JG where the biggest keys to this offense going forward.

The Rams really don't have the choices you are complaining about, and really JW is an unknown commodity who got literally knocked the fuck out in his second start.

I'm not a JG homer, alls I'm saying is follow the plan you've laid out, if you have any expectation for it to work. Drew will be gone soon and the plan has JG paid for too long otherwise, who we gonna get to set up in a big way at LT?

That's the problem my man, didn't want the trade up, when we selected JG, wasn't sure if JG or CW was the right guy after we did, but in 2018 JG showed promise, and we abandoned him in a way that NO Saints have never abandoned DB.

Hilarious your spin man. “I’m not a JG homer, just follow the plan.”

The man has the most turnovers since 2019. That’s not the plan I can assure you. It’s not all on the Oline. He’s garbage and he’s holding this team back. All the way back to the super bowl run

So im here to make sure you understand that #16 is garbage

You must forget, I was against the trade up, didn't think either QB was worth it. Likely, the way that Foles played in the SB for the Eagles, would have been better than Goff under Mc Vay, and he was on our Roster without giving up the draft capital, right?

Sure, I'm a JG homer you got me. SMH

There's a big difference working with what you got, and doing the homer spin you got mixed up in your head about.

So you want a good laugh and more, whatchu call it, spin?

Hows about this...

JW named starter for 8 Quarters, finished 5 Quarters.

JG named starter for 276 Quarters, finished 279 Quarters.

That's what happens when you play through injuries that require surgery, and mop up for a DTQB who can't.

W/O Goff's availability, and a heroic effort playing with that thumb injury, we likely all here saying how Bortles should have been activated and how asking Hekker to mop up for 3 quarters kept us from moving on with the No. 1 Defense in the NFL on our side.

Yikes

Rams quarterback Jared Goff, assuming his surgically repaired thumb allows him to start, has not fared well in his two cold-weather starts. In games he started with the temperature below freezing, he's a combined 34-for-72 for 381 yards with no touchdowns and five interceptions. That's a combined passer rating of 64.58. He was especially bad in a 15-6 loss at Chicago in 2018 with no touchdowns and four picks in a 20-for-44 game for 180 yards.

Comparing a ferry QB and his thumb issue to a QB going head first with a neck injury is a lovely spin. You’re an ace

And then saying Goff was Heroic?

yeah no homo there

McVay really should think about starting Wolford. The dude played at Wake Forest and can handle cold. His Uncle played what 10 years for the Bills at guard (Will Wolford) which is serious cold and he said cold doesn't bother him AT ALL. If you're smart, McVay, start JW, run the Jumbo, and let the D kick some serious GB ass!!

Chew the clock up and keep AR on the bench should be the #1 goal. Move the chains and run the ball. Not sure if JW is ready to go.

Precisely SJ76. Did you get a chance to see another SEC team destroy Ohio State last evening? What a team. And that running back Najee Harris is a bad MoFo who would go nicely with Cam! 6'2, 235lbs. BADASS!!

Watched some of it. Weird year 2020. You know me I’ve always wanted a big RB. Green Bay has a rookie AJ Dillon that’s barely played but he’s good. 6’1 247

Corey Dillons son I believe

After Wolford got hurt, my son sent me a text, "why didn't they start Goff?" Goff immediately gets sacked, "That's why!"

I’ll give JG some props. He gained confidence as the game went on. The Kupp prayer from our own 1 yard line was huge. The dump off to Cam was huge. Guy just can’t turn it over this Saturday

For all of you out of the area, you are likely missing out on the local post game shows. It's always great to see past Rams' hero's on the show.

This week they had Flipper Anderson on, but we always get a good dose of Vince Ferragamo, and Jackie Slater, as they are staples to the show.

Seems like the subject of playing with injuries comes up almost every post game, and the two reminisce, Jackie and Vince, talk about it on their playing days.

No more this year however than the post game where Jack Young Blood and Ronnie Lott joined the show. (Ronnie was a local kid out of the Inland Empire here about an hour East of LA)

It's really great, but I never knew Vince was such a bad ass, and well Jackie, as tough as he was, makes it extremely clear, if the Doctor said he needed to sit out to heal, there was no way he would tell the trainer just to tape it up.

Both Ronnie and Jack called for the trainers tape, and I guess Vinny went out there bandaged up to the hilt too, as Jackie boasts, Vinny just sits there just beaming with pride...

Wish all of you could see these post game local shows, as I do, I record them all as a matter of fact, because it's really entertaining!!
Love it Vita. I wish I could see that show. I'd have me a 55-inch TV in my garage so when those badasses would come on, I'd be out in the garage giving the walls forearms smashes and shivers until I couldn't stand-up!! LOL!!!

The Pederson firing in Philadelphia still plays in the Rams favor of not losing Staley to another suitor. Lurie likes offensive-minded coaches especially from the Andy Reid lineage. That puts Eric Bienemy on the top of the Lurie's wishlist. Urban Meyer is very likely headed to the Jags job. The Jets and Chargers have soured on Staley since his interviews and are moving towards Smith, Darboll, and other OC's in the league. So are chances right now are good that we keep Staley but as everyone knows, anything can still happen in this regard in the NFL.

Yea Rambunctious, and he doesn't want to move his family across the country again to take another NFL job. He really wants to stay in LA but the Chargers want an OC.
