Plus, LTRF, he is a part of the Matthews lineage of NFL players. WE would have had our left tackle needs satisfied easily for the next 10 years.

That's one of the main reasons I wanted him over GRob...With that lineage/bloodline/pedigree, the chances of him being a bust were VERY small...

I am watching the Atlanta-Seattle game and one Matthews at LT. The dude is a stud and has allowed no sacks on Ryan today. And to think we passed on this guy for whom? Flippin Fisher still pisses me off when I think about it.

You and me both

I actually don't remember ANYONE wanting GRob in that draft other than the guys drafting and the "experts"... Pretty much ALL of the fans could see him being a bust from a mile away... Unfortunately, we were right :L

I was agreeing with you, I still don't get why we picked Robinson, other than Fisher needs to be drug tested ?

Because Fisher seemed to have a "hero" complex...He took on projects, guys with major attitude problems, guys with criminal backgrounds, didn't matter to him... He thought he'd be the big shot to make them into "superstars"...But he wasn't and he didn't :L

Difficult to tell, but if you say so, I'll rescind my post.
Rams taking Robinson, thus the Bert facepalm, bong smoking Penguin means who ever picked him was on drugs, the next 2 Head scratching, and the last me screaming over that ridiculous pick???

When you have to explain it like that, you know you went a bit weird ;):suds:

Well I thought it was pretty obvious, I guess not,?:noidea: but I had given Retros post a like before I posted my reply:noidea: Plus, who in their right mind would disagree with the assessment of Robinson?

My bad?:suds:

The way you explained it, sure did make sense... But so did the first time Elon Musk talked about landing the first stage of a rocket(which SpaceX did again today BTW) :suds:

There's one HUGE difference!!! Musk accomplishes his goals!!! SpaceX and Tesla alone...Plus he has a HUGE next gen battery "gigafactory" that just opened in Nevada which supposedly cost about five billion... He's the freaking MAN right now!!!

Surprised you've never heard of him!!! He's the type of guy who just might end up changing the world(kind of is already)... Tesla cars are basically just a hobby for him, he wanted to see if he could build a better car than the big companies and one that drove itself, he succeeded... His biggest goal is colonizing Mars. That's what SpaceX is REALLY about, eventually lol... He's a pretty fascinating guy!!! :suds:

Not necessarily as a bust, but certainly not a candidate that early in the 1st round.

The Rams let me down several times with early picks (Bradford over Suh, Avery over Jackson, trading up for Austin (liked him, but moving up was a bad move), Robinson over Watkins, Mack, or Jake if LT, etc. Even Goff over Wentz, although I still am hoping this ends up well. Other picks I cheered immediately, like Donald and Quinn. It can be such a thrill to see your team pick the guy you really want, and I try to support picks I wasn't in favor of, hoping the brass knows more than the fans. Unfortunately, not always the case.

First guy to make electric cars cool and sporty. Now all the major supercar companies are working electrics into their lines.
