With Elvis and Von gone, no pass rush means QB's are gonna slice and dice our secondary. Especially with overrated Chump Bailey out there. We better hope BrokeNeck can put up 35+ points per game, or we're SCREWED. Winning 38-35 shootouts is the only way this team will be successful. I pray they can do it. God Bless Tim Tebow, and God Bless the United States of America...

Kwityerwhinin,

He was talking about Woodyard when he said Woodyard had only been a special teamer until last year when DJ williams got hit with a 9 game suspension. That gave him his chance to get into the linebacker rotation.

AmericanTebowFan, what are all you Tebow fans going to do when the Patriots cut him and he is left without a team?

As to your comment, anyone that believes Tebow can be an NFL QB knows nothing about football so it is moot.

Totally agree with what this poster said about the pass rush even though I think he is a troll..."With Elvis and Von gone, no pass rush means QB's are gonna slice and dice our secondary. The Broncos pass rush was nonexistent especially when the first team was on the field. That Denver D is not as good as it was last year that's fo' Sho.

So long as we are going to cite preseason as an example of what will happen in the regular season, the ravens should worry about that passing game. Mr. Elite and his receivers are not on the same page. Old Brokeneck will only need to score 25 if Mr. Elite keeps it up.

Pass rush doesn't occur in the preseason. We're just not going to get it from our front 4, and will often need a LB to go in as well. But they won't be showing too much blitzing right now.

I already said Knowhon would start the season, but I'll go a step further and say he finishes with 1000-1500 total yards if he stays healthy. Hillman will do exactly what he did last year - nothing. Ball will come in in short yardage situations, but the only RB that can be out there without making it obvious it's going to be a run is Knowshon.

LBs didn't look great. But with everyone playing a different spot it could be ugly. DJ just never could become the pro-bowler we needed because he was playing a different LB spot every year.

Also not too worried with the secondary. Again, they won't be showing too much, just plain man-man. Champ down to Tony Carter, and even throw Jammer in there, is alot of depth with guys who have started. Biggest concern with the secondary is the safety help.

Everyone should relax a bit, you can't judge overall performance from a handful of preseason snaps.

Other than Hillman not able to protect the football, and Special teams looking very sloppy in kick coverage, take what you see with a grain of salt.

The Defense is playing a simple base defense for the most part. One on one coverage, Del Rio is not going to show anything in preseason.

Both Hillman, L Ball and Montee Ball ran well (besides the fumble) with M Ball runnign well in short yardage situations (Goal line TD) and Hillman average over 5 YPC and Moreno 6 YPC.

The important point about the run game is as a team they rushed for 133 yards.

Defense only allowed 13 yards rushing and just over 100 yards in the first half. That is not bad, The TD was a really short field due to bad ST kick coverage.

But the passing game , holy smokes. 34 attempts in the first half? 25 completions for 234 yards? And Welker is not even in there. We ran almost 45 plays in the first half.

This offense is potent. We will be fine.

You do realize the difference between pre-season and regular season.

I think people need to remember when it comes to the Broncos pass rush the 2 starting DE's were not in for this past game in Ayers and Wolfe. If anything people should be encouraged by the fact that we are finally seeing the DT's get some pressure up the middle. I saw Knighton, Vickerson, and Unrein all in the first unit get pressure up the middle. For once quarterbacks didn't have a huge pocket to step into to throw.

Throw in the secondary actually looked very good even without Champ Bailey. DRC looks like the real deal, Harris is Harris, Carter played really well, Webster looks like he is coming along nicely from the start of training camp, and even Jammer had a good game. The safeties didn't do anything spectacular but they didn't make a whole lot of mistakes either.

Offensively when Clady was in the OL was able to open some big holes in the run game. The running backs actually looked like they could contribute and more importantly were able to pick up the tough yards on the short down runs like the goal line run by both Ball's. Also the running backs all did very well in pass protection...some will point to the hit Peyton took up the middle but Ball picked up one of the two blitzers. The second guy through is on the OL not Ball on that play.

All in all I think the Broncos offensively are just experimenting with a few different formations and looks like they did last year in preseason. No reason to actually run the real plays we will during the season but might as well work on some things we have never done in a game before. They still moved the ball very effectively and other than some turnovers problems dominated every defense they faced (considering San Fran and Seattle were top 10 with St. Louis top 15 that is pretty darn good news).

It looks like "BrokeNeck" did his part. God bless Tim Tebow.
