Orlando Pace just tweeted that the Rams should focus on football and not fashion. ESPN is stating that the Rams did this trade largely for sensation (to make a splash) to fill seats in a town that lives on sensation.

I disagree. Everyone in sports makes fun of the Rams' QB situation. Everyone claims there are two quality QB prospects in this draft, with neither dropping past #8 in nearly every scenario. Clearly, the Rams are not enamored of any of the QB prospects below the top 2. They made a strong move to go get their guy.

We go get the arguably the top qb in draft with everyone complaining about needing one and it's not good enough. :heh:

Didn't we learn anything from the Washington fuck up? Hell Fisher even rubbed it in their faces by sending all involved in the RG3 trade out to do the coin flip! :L

Washington screwed up only by picking a run-option QB and getting him destroyed. If RG3 stays healthy and as productive as he was his rookie season, the Redskins likely would've won their division every year since.

No shopson, everyone makes fun of the Rams, period.

Sure, but every "draft needs" column points out the Rams needing a QB. They aren't ever going to be in range to get a top of the draft QB without making a trade like this, unless they SERIOUSLY backslide.

There's always a 2nd round graded receiver that falls. Maybe we'll luck out and Boyd will drop

Apparently, the Rams initially offered the Titans several weeks ago, swap first rounders, both second rounders, and a third this year along with a fourth next year. It was John Robinson, the GM of the Titans that held out and basically bitch-slapped Snead into giving up a number one and three next year.

Robinson is the type of guy we need as a GM. He trained under some pretty stout people including Bill Polian. Snead is a wussie boy and Fisher is a whackjob of a HC. I fully expect Robinson to be building a superbowl contender for years to come.

Meanwhile, we will be stuck at 8-8, 7-9, or worse.

They need to trade one of them for sure, ideally Foles.

No one is going to give us anything for fools gold. With that contract we would probably have to give them a draft pick to take him.

So you are basically describing exactly what this organization will do when we hand over the reigns to whom ever our new Mark Bulger will be.

2016 is not the only year that will be lost. We gave away our first and third in 2017.

This front office apparently refuses to learn from history. And as the old saying goes "those that don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

Fisher figures he will probably be fired by then, so he probably doesn't give a shit about 2017

We absolutely learned nothing and proved a new level of incompetence Snisher is continuing to demonstrate. I am quite sure that when John Robinson announced that the Number One overall pick was open for bids, he was hoping the dumbass Rams FO would show up.

Initially, several weeks ago, Robinson had Cleveland, Philadelphia, and the Whiners initially show up. But when they discovered the potential price to move up was going to be steep, the interest waned. THEN, the Rams came calling about a week and half ago and the bitch-slapping commenced.

Robinson schooled Snead and Fisher and played them like the proverbial rented goalie. And the rest, as they say is history. IS it any wonder that the covert belief in the league about the Rams as complete and utter losers remains intact!

But if he wants another head coaching job, this is going to hurt him emensly, along with Snead if he gets canned to and wants another GM gig, along with whomever else was involved with this garbage.

Just curious...Who is this QB(that we just sold the farm for)going to throw the ball to? And how will we get guys to throw to without draft picks and no free agent money?

The assumption here is that Kroneke, the limp biscuit extraordinaire, would have the hutzpuh to clean house. The answer is he doesn't have the balls. He is only interested in money. So this garbage is going to continue as evidenced by the extension Fisher signed or is going to sign for being a losing coach his first four years.

I know it's a very fresh wound for many of you, but I choose to be positive about the trade and hope for good value picks with what's left of their draft. If you guys want to assume they'll blow everything (despite a pretty solid drafting resume from Snisher), that's your prerogative.

I will ask this however; how else do you suggest the Rams finally get a real QB? Hope one becomes available in FA (rare)? Hope a later pick bears fruit (even though you have no faith in the FO to make good picks)? The Rams made the biggest jump to #1 in draft history (14 slots), while giving up less in trade value than the Redskins did to move up 4 slots.

Develop the ones they have except for Keenum shopson. That's what other teams do. The Rams had plenty of chances in the past four years and they chose Foles and Mannion. Why would you think that this trade is now going to give us the franchise QB you suggest we need if our offense is predicated on a maintain QB and a run game? We don't know what we have with Mannion. If they do know and they still did this, then they wasted yet another pick.

Same Rams team, just in a different city. I said the stupidity will follow the Rams from St. Louis to LA... And look what happened.
