Raiders trying to shore up their defense with Tuck, Woodley, and TBrown. I wonder for how many years and how much money. Happy for TBrown, but now he has to face Manning twice.

I wonder if the 49ers made an offer to him?

KNBR said he signed 1 year, 3, 5 million

Huh. Assuming that's 3.5 million, that's surprising. Basically what the Niners offered, but Niners offered three years (if reports are right). Again, I'd bet he's kicking himself for not extending with the Niners when they offered it last offseason and during this season.

3/4 new starters in huge secondary from week 1, if Culliver is healthy he will be good, I know the coaches were loving him last offseason

Not that I know who offered what, but usually a player takes the most money unless he's really pissed at his previous team. It's rare that any of them walk away from a championship caliber team that's offering them a fair deal. The 49ers are a bit short on available cash according to an article I read last night. Maybe they low balled him. Every team claims they offered bigger money when a player doesn't resign.

He took the 1 year deal betting on himself so he can try free agency next year again

Rumor was we offered him basically the same contract that we ultimately gave to Brock. Brock's has $3.75 million in signing bonus and $800K in year one. That would have been better for Brown, at least in the short-term.
