how did he not die in prison?
That's my question. If he hired someone to kill his girlfriend and she died, he should never get out.

Three pairs of sweatpants, a half pack of Kools and a Bobby Brown tape.
And his favorite video games Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption......

I read where he said he wanted to try to get custody of his son. The son he tried to kill and caused irreparable harm to in the process. So, it’s pretty clear he didn’t learn anything while in prison.

I applaud him for trying to finish the job. Two thumbs up from me.

Anyone who'd do what he did the way he did it, there's no fixing.

So he hires an assassin to kill his girlfriend, who was 8 months pregnant with his kid, participates in the hit, the woman is shot 4 times, later dies and the kid is mentally disabled and he gets 18 years.

Tell me again about mass incarceration and how unfair the courts are to people of color.

The color important here is green. $$$. His family hired a partner of Johnnie Cochran's (although they ran out of money during the trial).

North Carolina has the death penalty. He was offered a plea of 2nd degree murder and refused.

Exactly. People get too hung up on black and white when the explanation is usually green

He could actually be innocent. His defense was that the hired hitmen were after him as well for a drug deal gone bad, which the trigger man supposedly confirmed to his jailer. There's no DNA evidence or anything of the sort; just a criminal's word after getting a favorable plea deal.

So why did he run and hide then?

He was tried in North Carolina; they have the death penalty. Nice try, though.

That was a non-point. You don''t know the politics of the 12 jurors, and they couldn't agree to convict on 1st-degree murder. It takes a spineless, libtard bitch to not send someone like Rae Carruth to be executed.

It takes a right wing wingnut to execute someone without concrete video or DNA evidence.

:rolleyes2:

"I'd rather let 1,000 guilty men go free than punish one innocent man."

Sincerely,

Not relevant or accurate whatsoever. If you can't prove guilt without a doubt, don't execute. Leave them in jail to try to get a retrial if their case is worthy.

 If just one out of 12 people had a reasonable doubt about his guilt, he would not have been convicted.

No video / DNA don't execute him, but throw him in a cell. :what: You libs hold the stupidest, f***ing positions imaginable.

A state with the death penalty did just that. They believed the criminal's story, but wouldn't give the death penalty. The hiding certainly didn't help Rae's version either.

Are you saying they should've let him go? You were just ready to bury him. Argue just for argument's sake I guess?
