So the story goes. He wanted to do comedy and asked Mel Brooks for a role for free. And he ad libbed the "espresso" line

Report said 2 dogs lived while one dog, Hackman and his wife died. Pretty clear what happened here

If the pills on the floor are true, then it seems like they wanted to ride off into the sunset together. Dog seems like an accident though. Maybe ingested some of those pills that were on the floor.
