Quick update on Bossman

Folks, just wanted to let you know that I received a call from Steve yesterday, he hasn't been feeling all that great that last little while and has actually been in the hospital undergoing some tests/treatment. The good news is that he hopes to be released on Wednesday. If I hear anything else (or if Steve sees this thread), this thread will be updated with the latest.

Hello all,

First of all Thank You so much for the kind words. For those of you that remember a pulmonary embolism was found in my right lung a couple a years ago and I went in last week for severe pain in my left leg, they did a doppler and found a blood clot, they called immediately for an ambulance and took me to the hospital for additional test. I was in for one week.

They found on a cat scan that the PE has grown "significantly" and I will be on blood thinners for the rest of my life. They are still waiting for all of the test results and I must see a specialist to try and figure out what is causing these because they can be fatal. They did surgery and installed a "filter" in my vein to prevent any clots from breaking lose and going to my heart.

I don't mind saying it has (is) scary and have had a few sleepless nights. They did give me some things to sedate me and try to keep calm (so some of this post may not make much sense).

Thanks for the texts dash and Tox, it's nice to get some kind words and helps me keep my mind off of "things".

I will keep you all updated and check the board from time to time. I consider all of my fellow posters friends and it's nice to know you all are with me.

I don't mean to spill my guts but it's scares the shit out of you when the doc says we must get you to the hospital NOW!!!!

TO ALL OF YOU. Hug your family members and never be shy about telling them you love them. Life can be short and you never know when things happen.
