I rarely post on here, but I'm always watching, lurking, waiting for the right moment to start a thread....

I know this will be a sore subject for some. If this is you, suck it up and answer the question.

If we go on to Iowa and get embarrassed once again, and especially if we follow it up with a bowl game loss, I'm guessing BoP will surely be feeling the heat and possibly canned.

Saying this.... From top to bottom (Head Coach to Coordinators), who would be the best bet for a replacement. REALISTICALLY COT DAMNIT!

Ready.... go.

If Bo will be fired then it better be before the bowl game!!! After the bowl game would be too late.

That being said, he won't be fired and he won't make any changes.

HC- Nick
DC - Gus
OC - Lane

Anything less is unacceptable.

We're Nebraska dammit.

I am saying Bohl for one reason, he will demand toughness. Frost as HC will need to hire a good QB coach based on the fact that he was terrible at throwing the ball himself. I rather have an OC type as head coach, but would settle for a guy who could hire really good coordinators.

I basically believe this as well.

Now, with that said, word is definitely going around that Bo is finally at the point where he is forced to make changes within his staff.

How many changes though? That's the real question.

Nudging 1 or 2 guys off politely towards another program is not my idea of making changes. But again, Bo is way too loyal to his little friends and so cleaning house is not an option for him.

That is why he won't make any real changes. Just like Watson. He wanted him gone but wanted him to find a new job first. It have been interesting had Watson not found the Lousiville gig.

It's not so much how many but if he'll even do it. I can see him just walking away if there are too many assistants he is "asked" to fire.

Now as to who should be hired to replace him? No assistants, short of TO we' do not have a stellar track record hiring former assistants as HCs. Current coaches from Utah State Colorado state & Northern Illinois. Plus there are "name coaches" that might be interested as well.

Just talked to my brother who watched Bo closely through Bi-noxs at the game. He said Bo clearly calls the defensive play and poops just signals them in. So hiring a real d coordinator under Bo would be a waste of money and time.

i'm with ya on the CoSt coach, but the current NIll and UtahSt coaches have only been there a few short years. Gary Anderson left UtahSt for Wiscy, so that HC is unproven and is winning because of what Gary did, same at NIll where Jerry Kill left, Doeren took over and just left for NCState, so I'd avoid those. But the guy at CoSt Jim McElwain seems like a decent hire, been coaching all over the country and has really turned around CoSt.

I think i said it elsewhere, but agree with whoever put it above, there are very few Coordinators I'd look at. Maybe Smart out of Bama, if he could bring along Kiffin as OC, that would be the best scenario for us.

I threw out Doc Holliday from Marshall in another thread.

I'm just not even focused at all on Bo being out of there yet.

Give him the ultimatum! Grow some damn nuts, Eichorst!

Force him to make changes on the staff.
