I was a bit tired of all the *new Pens fans giving the old ones a bad name

I think the veterans of that toilet knew who the real Pen's posters (such as yourself Pix, Dare, dacks, evolver etc etc) were/are and didn't confuse the two.

I wish Liz didn't go off the rails and become one of "them" though. I've been posting with that guy for 10-15 years and had a blast talking shit with him over that time.

In her defense that was kind of a lame question. As long as she can find it on a map (no idea if she can or not) then why should she have any idea why someone else can't? Not really sure what kind of answer they were expecting. What choice did she have other than to ramble on about nonesense. Its still pretty funny though.

But yeah its pretty bad over there. It doesn't seem to be so much about Crosby vs Ovechkin anymore as it is people whining about Pens power plays. Or a few long-time bitter fans from the north trying to bring down young (I'm assuming), enthusiastic fans of southern teams as if they have no right to talk about hockey.

I was watching a video (it's obviously edited so if anyone picked correctly they didn't show it) and a lot of people marked Australia as either North Korea or Iraq. It was quite amusing.

Now I'm no expert when it comes to geography, but hell, I can at least name all 7 continents correctly and I can get most of the major countries. Yes I can locate all 50 states too.

I might have a little trouble in the Northeast (probably get New Hampshire mixed up with Vermont), but I'm pretty sure I could get at least 90%

Left Disney because all of the BS previously mentioned but I think the reason that so we have stayed is because we didn't come over individualy. Having such a solid core group of posters has kept people here. I think a lot of times people come to a new board and test it out but either don't fit in with the new environment or the board is dead so they move on.

Yeah there's a bunch of small states up in the New England area. Still that's pretty good. I'm assuming they never bothered to teach you US geography in school? To my recollection they never taught us any of Canada's provinces or territories. I think I could get them all though, 13 is a lot less than 50! At the very least I know PEI is an island. :p

Since 90% of our population lives within 100 miles of the Canada - US border, we've grown up with American news broadcasts. That's been a big advantage in learning things about our southern neighbors. That and Schoolhouse Rock.
