To me Ovie still seems to be the best offensive player in the NHL (current slump not withstanding), but Sid has elevated his game in the last year or so. He's also matured quite a bit. I still love the Pens vs Caps games. The NHL hasn't had anything like that since the old Wings vs Avs. The HBO series is gonna be great!

One is a diving mama's-boy pussified overhyped overmedia-exposed nut-sac puching crybaby who lives in Mario's basement and quite possibly likes the touch of a man, who rode Malkin's coattails to a cup.
The other is a overtly selfish me-me-me-first glory hungry extreme puckhog typical Russian, completely incapable of leadership, with horrific fashion sense and a likeness to far too close "Jaws" from Moonraker..

Was that really that hard?



Seriously.. why is there even a debate I could never figure out. What is really the point of even making head to head comparison? Who cares. We all get to enjoy them both (well, most of us get to enjoy them both)

And Sid and Ovie are equally capable, with one being better at a particular aspect than another. I personally would choose Sid first on a team just because he's better for a team aspect. However, if I were to chose a player to clone and create an entire team of...it'd be Ovie.
