move to an auction draft and let the current players do 2 keepers at an auction price and put the remainder in a pool with the newbies getting 2 picks before the draft starts.

If the pulse of the league is that they want to get back to 12 teams, then each owner should drop from 3 keepers to 2 (for this one season). Each incoming owner can then select 2 keepers from the leftovers. Clearly they won't be the best keepers left, but it's something. You then proceed as normal.

No they aren't, they are turning a shitty 10 team league into an "I guess it's decent enough" 12 team league.

They are losing one (the worst one). They still have the advantage over the incoming owners.

The league got screwed over. There is no easy way out. You are assuming they can fill those 2 spots with people who don't care about getting scraps. Maybe they can...who knows? I'm assuming though (based on this thread being created) there is hesitation from the incoming new owners.

It's actually pretty simple. Put it to league vote and majority wins.

A little thick are we? What if you were the team that made trades to get some guys to set you up for this year? I did that in my keeper league this year. Lots of people do. But your right if it's only ten fucking teams who cares.

If the ten team owners feel like you do, best to keep the league a 10 team league. If you want 12 teams, your going to have to let loose of some talent.

So here's the back story, a few years back we lost 2 teams right before the season and had to contract from 12 teams to 10. This is a 3 player keeper league. This year we are going back to 12 teams and there is much debate about how we should handle the return of the 2 teams into the league since it is a keeper league. Some owners are saying let them get the scrubs others are saying start new. Another option would be to let the existing owners keep one or two keepers. Anyway, if you were in this league what would your opinion on this be? Thanks, in advance.

Right there . Tells me it's not fair to make all start new or lose any keepers , they aren't in agreement.
