Question about fantasy football???

So here's the back story, a few years back we lost 2 teams right before the season and had to contract from 12 teams to 10. This is a 3 player keeper league. This year we are going back to 12 teams and there is much debate about how we should handle the return of the 2 teams into the league since it is a keeper league. Some owners are saying let them get the scrubs others are saying start new. Another option would be to let the existing owners keep one or two keepers. Anyway, if you were in this league what would your opinion on this be? Thanks, in advance.

You might have trouble getting owners who will remain active if they can only draft unowned players. Best idea I can think of is to allow the existing owners to protect some number of players on their rosters and then let their unprotected players enter the pool of players eligible for the new owners to draft. Also, you might ask your question on the fantasy football board.

I did post a poll, problem is there is alot of division among the owners. I'm the commish and want to keep the peace. I also don't want to piss people off so they quit. Anyway, Thanks

Otherwise it's just wasting time so other people can feel good about beating two additional teams.

its only 3 keepers... so depending on the keeper rules it may not be too big of a deal...

So a new team gets 1 of the top 48 and two of the top 60, if there's no expansion?

That's still playing against a stacked deck.

We had keepers for a couple of years and then dropped them. For us, it was fun starting each year with a clean slate and not having some of the best players already gone.

Maybe let each team protect 2 players, have the two new teams have a three round expansion draft but only allow one player to be picked from an existing roster. When the new leage draft starts two new owners draft first followed by the 6 owners who lost players. You can still have last season's record set the draft order.

Give everyone 1 keeper, let the new guys take one guy each of the leftovers and randomize the draft order.

I say existing owners can keep 1 player from their roster since top players are much more important in 12 team leagues, but it is a keeper league. Then new players can pick up 1 player before the draft, then draft like usual.

Either that or complete redraft.

if i was one of the ten guys, and made a move to get a keeper, and lost him, or couldnt keep him due to new guys coming, id be mad, i plan ahead, new guys have to pay the price and bite the bullet for a year IMHO

yeah but your joinging a keeper league, as an add on, why should 10 ppl suffer in there pursuits to satisfy 2 ppl

Because they want a 12 team league?

No idea why someone would want to join a keeper league when they don't get keepers of their own.... Makes no sense to me.
