About the only benefit for teams like the Rangers (who had no chance) was the fact they got a few weeks away from their wives.

Seriously though at least it was a "playoff" vs meaningless regular season games. Nothing is more painful that watching MLB and teams like the Pirates. If I was on that roster I would have opt'ed out already.
