you look like the dude that sweeps up after the Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman cartoons

I think he has more of a Jason Lee look. After he got hold of some grooming products, of course.

wouldn't john lackey be the comeback player of the year? he has another ring to show for it. or was this a pitty/farewell to mo?

Yes.

If Jeter hits .250 this season he will win comeback player of the year for 2014. The media eats this shit up with a shovel.

Mo tore his ACL. Lackey had TJ surgery on his pitching elbow. Which was more difficult to come back from?

I think they give this from coming back from injury or adversity. They don't give it to a guy that just sucked last year, and was good this year.

Lackey WAS hurt all of last season. He just sucked in 2010 and 2011.

Some very early rumor rumblings.

Nathan to the Tigers
Arroyo to the Mets
McCann to the Yankees

Nathan to the Tigers is as good as done.

I see McCann going to the Rangers and the Yankees signing Pierzynski. They don't want to go long term at catcher with Gary Sanchez a year or two away, though personally, I don't see Sanchez sticking at catcher.

Arroyo will have a lot of suitors to choose from. He is only looking for a 2 year deal, though he wants $30mm. He will have to come down on that a bit, but the Mets are an obvious fit with Harvey out and a young staff. I could also see the Angels and Yankees in on Arroyo. Maybe even the Nats, Indians or Royals.

I think Choo goes to the Tigers. There he can play LF and give the Tigers a 1-2 of Jackson and Choo or drop Jackson down to #9 and go with Choo at leadoff.

I think Nelson Cruz either stays with the Rangers or goes to the Phillies. Too many lefties in that lineup and it is a good park for him to hit in.

ditto bigD, this is hilarious :laugh3:

I don't see what's so funny about Seattle and Toronto. We all know Toronto has a stacked lineup, and with a lot of dollars thrown into this team in the short and long term, they have to strike while they have a chance. Watch Matt Garza and Toronto.

Seattle has King Felix and Iwakuma at the top of their rotation, which is better than anything anybody else has in the AL West. Add in guys like Taijuan Walker and James Paxton and they have a nice staff. If they add a guy like Ellsbury to their lineup of Seager, Morales, Zunino. Montero. Miller, Franklin, Ackley, and Smoak, they could contend. They at least get the ball rolling on the 2015 season when the young players are a year older and better.

Hell Cleveland FO would probly give their collective right nuts if they had anybody remotely close to those two. Yeh Masterson & Co beat Felix last May but that was largely due to good D that kept a few M's runs off the board
