My team sucked again & even lost the 4th pick in the draft lottery, but I still enjoyed the season. The playoffs were great. So many Game 7's & OT games. It doesn't get much better than Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals. One game for the Cup.

Congrats to the Bruins & their fans. For the rest of us there's always next year.

It has been an interesting year to say the least. There were a ton of storylines and cool things that made it intriguing.

1) 24/7 and the Winter Classic. I had a great time following the series, tailgating all day, going to the game. Even though the weather wasn't the best and I know it's not the greatest hockey, the atmosphere is still something to behold. Probably enjoyed the one in Buffalo more since we won that one, but no doubt this was a party and a fun way to celebrate hockey's roots.

2) Happily watching the Devils tank and then happily watching them make a run and anticipating whether they could do the impossible and make the playoffs. It's weird, but I enjoyed both legs of their season.

3) Some of the younger guys having great seasons...really enjoyed watching Skinner and especially Couture when I got the chance.

4) Good year for goalies...watching Thomas/Price putting up good numbers. On my own team, Fleury bouncing back from a horrific start to the season to play some of the best hockey of his career.

5) Even though the injuries marred what could have been a very rewarding season for the Pens, it was interesting to see the team fight tooth and nail and scrape together the team's second best point record ever and the second most wins in the NHL. The Pens have been a top team for awhile so that us-against-the-world mentality brought a different dynamic to watching Pens hockey that we haven't seen in a few years.

6) Even though this is somewhat of a "lost season" for my team, there were still great rides with Crosby's point streak and the epic win streak.

7) Flyers/Caps getting swept in the second round. Lots of enjoyment there.

8) That amazing Detroit/San Jose series.

9) Once again getting to watch a bunch of grown up kids live their dream on the ice. This Finals series wasn't the best hockey I've seen, but it was damn entertaining and I'm happy for that young, chippy Boston squad. Tim Thomas played a damn near perfect Final.
