[BRUINS]
Boston bounced back from last Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to Toronto by earning a 3-2 victory against the Atlanta Thrashers at TD Garden on Saturday afternoon. Michael Ryder scored on a penalty shot in the third period to help the Bruins capture the Northeast Division crown. Boston trails Washington by four points for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Monday's match is the Bruins' game in hand.

"I knew if I could score, it would get the team going," Ryder said. "We have a few games left, and we're hoping we can move up even further."

--------------------------------------

[RANGERS]
The last time New York won 24 games on the road in a season, it went on to end a 54-year Stanley Cup drought. But the Rangers accomplished the feat for the first time in 17 years with Sunday's win at Philadelphia. More importantly, though, it snapped a two-game skid.

"We just knew we had to win," forward Ryan Callahan said. "And to our credit, we responded after two pretty tough games. That's how we have been all year, where we've responded after games like that, and that if we play the we know how to that we are a tough team to play against."

--------------------------------------

[INJURY REPORT]
Boston center Marc Savard (concussion) is out, while Shawn Thornton is questionable. He's missed two straight games after receiving 40 stitches above his right eye after getting hit by the skate of Chicago forward Fernando Pisani last Tuesday. … The Rangers will be without goalie Martin Biron (collarbone) and forwards Derek Boogaard (concussion), Chris Drury (knee) and Alex Frolov (knee).

I think the Rags win because I want them to lose.

Thanks for nothing Boston.

Would you knock that shit off. Last time you posted this shit the Bruins lost 1-0 on a play that was threee feet offside.

This is going to be an intense game. Rags are home and on the brink of complete season failure. They need any form of point(s) tonight. They're gonna play hard, and possibly dirty if they go down quick. Hopefully we play a very disciplined game and just systematically shut these fuckers down. Lundy's gotta be tired.

Perhaps I should root for the Rags then and maybe they will lose?

You know what? I just can't do that, even if the intent is to jinx them.

Thanks for nothing Boston.

You know Jeff, just because this game is very hard for you, and your fragile emotional state, that doesn't mean that words still don't hurt....even if they are in typed form on a message board.

 this is not a tough game for me brotha... And dont take it to heart my horse friend.

Interesting fact I just read, Bruins are 7-1-2 when facing a team on the tail end of a back-to-back game sched.

First tie-breaker is non shootout wins so Toronto would have to win out all in regulation or overtime no shootouts to tie that tie breaker

Second tie-breaker is points earned head to head Buffalo was 3-3-0 for 6 points Toronto was 3-2-1 for 7 seven points Toronto would win that tie breaker.
