Wrong. If a white player does it, it's even more annoying. My parents taught me sportsmanship, how to understand that helping my team was the most vital part of being a team player. Celebrating a fucking hit that helped my team? Yeah, that's my job. Do I feel good for contributing? Of course. Am I going to run around acting as if I AM the team? Nope, not here, sir.

That's the point, It's about his upbringing. I am not going to tell anyone how to raise their children. For me, my daughters will be respectful of their opponent. I would expect the same in return. If I don't see that: I teach my daughters not to respond in kind. Sportsmanship, Smitty, look it up. Being a hot dog is a learned trait. There isn't a single child born, to make their classmate/teammate or opponent, feel like shit. Win with class. You could end up on the other end of the stick.

These things tend to be self correcting problems....

For the record, I don't see what the problem is with a player celebrating the way Puig did. I would have a problem if I were his manager or on his team and he didn't run out of the box, but as an opposing fan that doesn't bother me and it certainly doesn't bother me the way he celebrated coming into third base.
