While I think the title of this thread is a little harsh and probably premature, this situation is definitely looking ugly.

Puig, 25, stormed off after arriving at Dodger Stadium and being informed that he would either be traded or sent to the minors, according to major-league sources.

:laugh3:

I wonder if he will be moved for nothing during the waiver trade deadline? I am sure a team would take a flyer on him if the Dodgers just wanted to rid themselves of a problem.

I doubt the Dodgers would go for it. They'd want to get something back. If the choices are 1) Gone for nothing or 2) Send in minors and try to fix, then I would expect them to pick option 2.

The Dodgers don't give a shit about salary relief. He's been battling injuries and "himself" so-to-speak. He's still got potential and he's still young. Dude might just need an Oklahoma vacation an some yoga. Maybe Gabe Kapler can get to him.

I haven't been keeping up with his antics this season... is he being extra shitty, attitude-wise or is it that his performance is necessitating a much shorter leash?

The latter. He's not making headlines for being a dickhead anymore, but of course that just might mean that everyone is keeping their lips tighter about it. His defense is fine, his bat isn't. For all I know, let's assume he's still an asshole and his performance isn't making up for it.

Send him to the minors for the rest of the season and trade him in the offseason.

Yeah, this guy always had controversy follow him. My guess is he's traded this winter.

Don't confuse me with the facts!! He was at home, stormed off after the phone call and locked himself in his bathroom while he cried in the tub.
