Mariners.accually.have.a chance at Yamamoto.
Although..Yankees say..
Everyone..is going to them..
Belinger..to cubs.maybe.likely...
But there.is a pitcher..for.
The mariners ...it may be Snell..but likely..not..

I would say..somewhere.
Between..Snell.

And
Eric lauer..
.but.neither.of.them..

Jordan Montgomery..??..
that is where..I..would start..

After it was reported that Ohtani was on the plane to Toronto, tickets for the home opener were starting at $212 for the 500 Level. Now, tickets are starting at $53

Wow.. this is some crazy shit.

Look, I understand wanting every ounce of that juice as much as possible. But to use another team as leverage is fucked up. Toronto didn't deserve this.
And to hurt a reporters rep while doing it. Kind of shameful in my opinion.

This sounds like some whacked out conspiracy theory moron report . Why in the hell would someone worth $350 million dollars that lives in Toronto be a part of this .
Maybe he didn't know. I have no idea but sounds nuts.

I will tell you what we really do live in the greatest country in the world to get paid 700 million to hit and throw a ball.

We’re getting closer and closer to seeing billion dollars contracts in baseball.

remember when the Arod contract was insane? Looks quite mediocre today.
After 2008, all the funny money that got pumped into our financial system all went to the top earners. 10-20x their salaries where most others stayed flat or only doubled at best. Heads should roll, but I digress.

Shohei Ohtani announced on Instagram he will sign with the Dodgers. According to
@JeffPassan
, the deal is for $700 million over 10 years.

All that money for a DH.... Two Tommy Johns... Good luck Dodgers... He will be great but will he truly ever live up to that contract?

Standard negotiating ploy. Our technology allows for our technocrats to operatete at this level of psychological deception constantly.

This is where fans differ from the owners or pro athletes. Whatever you consider living up to the contract is different than those two. Has any Dodger lived up to his contract? They have one WS win with a big fat asterisk since they raised their payroll.

It is messed up, this is what the NBA has done to other cities since 2008 so owners haven’t had pay for squat when building new arenas.

This is true... And we also have to remember money means nothing to ownership. What matters is if people actualy continue to go to games and buy merchandise. But that's just INSANE amount of money and its getting out of control

Sure, but problem is who decides on how to fix it. Owners will cry about needing a salary cap, and players will cry about the greedy owners who pray on the players.

But the commissioner is an extension of the owners. I personally have no idea how to fix it but a salary cap in baseball is terrible for players especially Latin players and Americans who weren’t high draft picks.
