Tonight the Sabres Prospects take on the Red Wings Prospects in the Championship Game.

The Sabres Prospects are the defending champions from 2011, and are looking to make it b2b Championship wins. (2012 was cancelled due to lockout)

The Red Wings Prospects road to the Championship game was achieved by defeating the Stars (4-2), the Wild (3-1), and the Blues (4-1).

The Sabres Prospects were also 3-0, as they defeated the Blue Jackets (3-2), the Rangers (6-5 OT), and the Hurricanes (7-4).


As a Sabres fan, but more importantly a fan from Buffalo, this is as close to winning a Championship that we have right now since the Bandits decided to fall off the map, so yeah, it's a pretty big deal. At least to me it is.

Since so many people seem excited and interested in this game, I guess I'll give an update.

Red Wings Prospects up 2-0 after 2.

Sabres chances of defending their Championship is in jeapordy. If the Red Wings win, it will be their first Prospects Championship since it started 15 years ago.
