For those that don't remember, he picked Atlanta as his sleeper team to come out of the east.

...At a time when most of us either laughed at him (myself) or ignored him completely.

At the start of the season, i didn't think they had the perimeter weapons to take pressure off Jeff Teague. Clearly I underestimated Kyle Korver. He's proven to be more than just shooter - He's also an adept passer and top-notch glue guy. And he's playing defense better than he has his whole career. He's having a career year at a time he's supposed to be on the decline.

Right now, you have to say that barring injury they are the favorites to come out of the east, and by far. Coach of the Year is coach Bud's to lose right now.

Cleveland still might be there, though I'm still not sold on their defense. Toronto has plateaued as the season as progressed and have been given mediocre production up front. The Bulls? I think they're problem right now is sense of entitlement. They play in one of the major media markets and have six championship banners hanging in their home arena. I think a lot of nights they think all they need to do is show up...

I had ATL too

LOL I'm pretty sure you were drinking the Derrick Rose koolaid like you do every fall.

...Then flip-flop your stance and hate on him ruthlessly every spring.

You probably laughed at him but I'm fairly certain several others said Atlanta as well.

For once I actually put real money down.

I got a ticket from the sportsbook over the summer at 30-1 to win the East conference

They are currently sitting at 2/1 (still behind Lebron).

I figure I can sell it somewhere in the middle.....or pick some moneyline bets from other eastern contenders.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

As a Hawks fan, I thought we would win forty eight games and perhaps get to the second round. Never saw any of this coming. Good call by Hornstampede.

I'll admit it, I ignored Horns when he said this because every year Atlanta looks good on paper. But they finally put it all together. I chalk it up to two this: it is the first year they have been healthy and without Josh Smith. We all know that the first part is important to any team and as a Pistons fan I can attest to how important that second part is.

As much as I hate to say it, I still think Cleveland in the east.

Stop with the false modesty and give me the winning lotto numbers.

The season isn't over. What if Lebron goes on a 30 game winning streak :pound:

What would be a fair price to sell the ticket?

Its 30-1, the odds are currently 2-1.

I have sold tickets at halftime on point spread elements before....usually asking for 120-150% of the ticket expected value depending on the score.

But, I have never tried to sell a futures ticket.

Any idea what it would be worth? If anything.. For all I know there is no market at all for it.

I am not sure they are going to get much better unless I wait until they are up 3-0 in the ECFINALS or something crazy.
