Umm unless you are professional NFL coaches and see the guys in practice every day. then you might know they suck! that might be why they don't get in the game? Yeah because of you sucking in practice and can't get it done your going to be Just fine in an actual game?

Yet again, you aren't getting it!!!!!!!!!!

You don't know if they suck unless you put them in the game! We have seen what Wells can, or rather CAN'T do in a real game situation! You can't tell me that Wells looks good in practice either. Fisher has a habit of playing and sticking with veteran players.
Most people when something isn't working, they at least try something else, what do you have to lose? Especially when the season is already lost, let's see what your other guys got? Is that such a hard concept for you to grasp? Oh wait a minute, you have already answered that! You can't !

Smed you gotta calm down on the derogatory attitude mate. Just because someone has a difference of opinion doesn't mean they deserved to be talked down to.

With that said, I do agree with you tho. I was scratching my head all season when he played Joseph and Wells over Barnes and Jones. Wells and Joseph were the worst G/C tandem in NFL last year.
Which is weird to me. Fisher is all about playing his young guys but he wont put in at least one of younger guys that offer way more than those over-the-hill lumps.

I know there are always exceptions to the rule and even the anomaly may have sustainability issues, sort of like Davis last year. But for the most part IMO if they can't get it done in practice when they are competing for the starting job then they will struggle in games.

Remember when Tom Brady Rode the bench? Or Kurt Warner couldn't make a practice squad? Yeah, i'll stop there.

Sorry but I don't think I am talking down to him, I'm trying to get him to listen or at least read everything! He is constantly stating that these guys must suck, otherwise they would be playing! If they suck that bad, I would assume that they wouldn't even be on the roster than! It's only common sense that you don't know what you have until you know what you have!

This is no different than the real world, when people complain that they can't get a job, companies want people with experience, well how do you get the experience if you won't give them a chance to begin with?

Thank you! That was short and dead on to the point!

That is the point I was trying to make! The only difference it takes me a paragraph if not more:)

This is what I mean, according to some people that just meant Brady/Warner weren't good enough and they sucked, no it just means they weren't given the chance!

Yes please do stop there because Tim barns or B. Jones have proven they are not the Tom Brady's of the football world. Those are two examples from 1000's of players. And the QB position is way harder to evaluate then the OLine.

How do you know? Jones played half a game and did leaps and bounds better than Wells did. What does that tell you?
Neither player has played enough for us to know if they are good players or not.

You have no valid argument. There have been plenty of young bench players that were held back by coaches because they thought they couldn't cut it come game time. Just like there have been a bazilion bust in the NFL from players that were picked top 10. *cough Bradford cough*

I agree jacobarch. We never did get to see if Barnes was legit for any length of time. He did have a pretty good game the game he did play and had some good playing time last year as well. Jones is just a medical disaster and apparently the Rams are finding out that his body was pretty beat up coming out of college. When you have rating systems (not just one) consistently rating Joseph and Wells in the has-been categories and their play on the field is consistently bad, I'd think someone would make a change but Fisher decided against it.

And what benefit would it be to Fisher to bench his own draft pick. I guess I don't have a valid argument but it seems to make more sense than the Fisher conspiracy Theory.

No, it makes absolutely no sense at all! If the guy you have starting sucks, there is absolutely no risk at all of playing someone else that can't possible suck anymore than who you have in there now! Person played better when he was in there, but then he went right back to the bench, that didn't make any sense! I guess because he was beat out or didn't play well in practice! Give me a break!
Again, if the game is out of reach, why not play your backups to see what you have, at least to evaluate whether or not to keep them or get rid of them! Gee, sometimes you pull the QB in a blowout, you rotate your running backs and WR's why not your oline?

Why do I always have to start out every response to you with either, I didn't say that, or where did I say that, or do you even comprehend anything that you "supposedly read?

Where did I ever say they played great in practice? Oh that's right, nowhere! Why do so many others in here see it, but you don't?
As others have said, the definition of insanity is doing something over and over and expecting something different to happen! So here's the concept that you aren't getting," if this guy isn't getting the job done, try someone else!"

I only said Person played well when he was in there, so once again, I don't know where you got the "they" comment from, it's never ending with you and your misreading of posts!

Retro and Jacob both made comments about Barnes and Jones playing well when they were in there, so again if the average fan sees this, we are just wondering why Fisher doesn't see it and at least take a chance on some of these players

None of us are saying , just make them a starter and leave them in there no matter what, we are saying what we have in there now is not cutting it, so let's at least give these guys more than a couple of plays here and there to see what we do have or don't have. Is that to much to ask? Is it really going out on a limb to try?

and thats my point i trust the coaches and what they see during the game, what they see on tape and in practice more then the avg fan sees on a couple plays. and it might be the QB's limb that gets broken if the guy doesn't know what he's doing in there.

What are you talking about? "the QB limbs might get broken if the guy doesn't know what he's doing"? really, the guys that are in there now don't know what they are doing, so what would be the difference?

And again maybe the coaches just might see something different if they let those guys play more than a couple plays, hello, hello, is anybody there? Play the guys and let's see what they do, a couple of plays don't tell you everything, but when the guys do play a couple of plays and play well give them some more playing time instead of putting them back on the bench for the stiffs they were putting in there, Duh!

This argument will always be incomplete because there is so much information we just don't have. Mainly why a coach or coaches did this or that. What we see in small flashes of something better in a few plays may not be the whole picture. And to say look what this one or that one did coming off the bench, is well reaching since most NFL players ride the pine at some point. I have to believe any coach including Fisher and Co. Puts his best players on the field at all times.
