Pretty funny how people actually think Andrew Luck has been better than RW.

I like Wilson, he's a good QB with a solid head on his shoulders.

All other things being equal and given the choice between him and Andrew Luck it's not even close.

A great head on his shoulders. I dont think I've ever seen the guy take a big hit and when you run for 800 yards that's sayign something. I too prefer Vick but I'm a HUGE supporter of Wilson. Love the kid

Yet you're here comparing halfs in the season he played at Wisconsin when he actual comparison is between him at Wisconsin vs NC State.

Exactly, the stat geeks pick and choose to make their argument and will then dice that up further and throw out the stuff they don't like.

How about this. What are Wilson's stats with under 1 minute in the Superbowl and the game within a score?

Every one of you that claim Andrew Luck WILL have a better career, or any GM would trade Luck for Wilson straight up right now is not the point. In fact that was rather emphasized. BTW, all of that is your opinion. It is conjecture. That is all.

All I said was Russell Wilson has had a better career and has been the more EFFECTIVE QB than Luck as of RIGHT NOW. Which, is totally true, backed up by statistical evidence.

You can say poor Luck is a one man team, or that poor Wilson has only been a top 10 rated passer because of Lynch all you want. Those are fallacies.

I pointed out why if poor Luck's talent on the Colts was SOOOOO bad, why has Wilson been sacked at such a higher rate than poor Luck? How, has Wilson been sacked 19 more times with over 600 less pass attempts? I could not help but notice no one really addressed that.

I get it, the Wilson haters think the ONLY reason Seattle did it is because of Lynch and the defense. Not sure how that makes Wilson a top 10 rated passer. Colts WRs have been every bit as good or better than Seattle in this 3 years. You can deny that all you want, fine.

Now, anyone going to explain why if the Colts OL was sooooo bad for poor one man show Luck why they do not give up sacks at such a rate as the Seahawks line?

In the mean time, just accept the fact that Russell Wilson has had a better career than Luck to this point. It is a fact.

I couldn't care less about the argument, but I think it's funny that people bring up talent when it comes to this. I doubt that anybody Wilson was throwing to in the SB would crack the starting lineup in Indy and the only guy that might make the team would be Baldwin. His #1 target was some guy from foot locker and he still put up a 100+ rating even with the pick at the end. So please stop talking about how easy he has it.

whatever, but your thread proved you were in the shortest line by far.

Oh and also....nothing new here, shock value statements tend to get attention

I don't think that's right. After all, this same topic has yielded 1,000s of posts in numerous threads over the past few years. The topic has kind of become a newer, but similar to, Manning v. Brady debate.

There are points to be made on both sides. Certainly can't argue that Indy has been as successful with Luck as Seattle has with Wilson. In my mind, however, Wilson has clearly played in the more favorable situation.

Both good players who figure to be among the top QBs for years to come. Accordingly, which is the better of the two is likely to be debated ad nauseam.

Don't discount Luck's mobility. He is every bit as fast as Little Rusty Wilson, but his superior arm strength and accuracy skills allow him to be a "pocket passer" without the gimmicks.
I'm tracking that Luck is a good athlete and has good speed. But he's not as agile or elusive as RW. Please tell me you agree with that.\

Gimmicks? Gimme a break. RW is able to make plays that hardly anyone else in the league can make. At times, maybe no one. Calling that a gimmick is just refusing to acknowledge what's right in front of your eyes.

I'm interested to see how things go now with Graham in the fold. People always apologize for Luck because he's a one man show, but his weapons in the passing game have been much better than what RW has been working with.

He apparently thinks gimmicks lead to back to back SBs and a Lombardi trophy.

Gimmick?

Not quite sure he really knows the meaning of that word.

He got croaked in the NFCCG against Green Bay and I imagine he's taken some other serious shots in the last 3 years. If Pete Carroll is smart (not so much) he will make every effort to dial back the gimmicky college shit that will eventually get his QB killed.

Seattle's defense led to back to back Super Bowls and the one fortunate win against the biggest choker in NFL playoff history. Rusty was a passenger on that train.

Luck knows how to read a defense and isn't asked to run around the school yard. Rusty had Harvin and some other top flight WR 2 years ago and while his defense did get him a Lombardi, the offense was meh.

Harvin a top flight WR? The guy isn't worth spit as a WR, never has been. He's a heck of a kick returner and good at running jet sweeps, but running a route? Nope. He doesn't have a clue, then he wonders why he isn't featured in the passing game.

Who the heck are these top flight WRs the Seahawks had two years ago? Surely your not talking about Rice, who seemed to be on the IR so often.

I knew Pats fans knew nothing about football. Do you realize, or do you not realize the biggest choke in NFL (really sports history when you really think about it) was when the unbeaten Pats lost to a 10-6 wild card Giants team in the super bowl. Not because of a "lucky catch." Not because Asante Samuel dropped a pick.

No No No

It was because the Pats and Brady were held to 14 points. That, was why.

The best part about those two epic chokes in those super bowls (the second one was to a 9-7 wild card team) were to a team from NY.

That is right. New York. How delicious.

Mostly because I don't give a shit about the Seahags. You know, just like all the bandwagon yokels up in Seattle 3 years ago.

Close games against a tough team, it happens. At least Doug Williams never threw 5 TD passes in 10 minutes against NE.
