The Islanders only have 4 players worth a damn on their roster.

Three of them will be UFA's at the end of the year. Supposedly they're in discussions with Streit about an extension & he's the one I want back the least. It's just embarrassing how untalented this team is. It's embarrassing how incompetent they are as an organization. I'm completely FED UP!!

In all honesty, a good coach would be able to get way more out of Moulson, Grabner, Nielsen and Okposo. Those guys have the talent but too often they make the wrong play. It just seems like a team that if properly coached could be dangerous. He's retired, but I can't help but think a guy like Jacques Lemaire would have this team competing for/in the playoffs.

Yeah, I agree with this, even though the results are mixed so far, Hartley is getting way more of out his players than Butter ever did behind the bench. Guys actually aren't afraid to take some chances out there (JayBo is a prime example, this is the Bouwmeester I thought the Flames were getting from Florida). Stajan is playing his best hockey as well in a Flames uniform.

I have a great deal of respect for Lemaire, but not even he could win with the defense the Islanders have on their roster. Joe Finley, Thomas Hickey & Brian Strait were waiver wire pickups just before the season started. Strait couldn't make the Penguins top 8 yet the Islanders gave him a 3 year contract extension after 6 games this season. Strait apparently injured his ankle today.

Okposo looks lost out their. He's been beyond awful. Kyle was given a chance on the 1st line to begin the season & couldn't keep up with his linemates. He's a mess right now & the number 1 whipping boy of Islanders fans right now. Just about everyone wants him traded ASAP.

Matt Moulson is golden...

Moulson is JT's buddy. He's a goal scorer pure & simple. I like him, but playing with Tavares makes his job much easier. Moulson's two way game leaves a lot to be desired. He's got 1 more year left on his contract after this one. We'll see if they pay him what he wants. Wang wouldn't give Parenteau 4 years 16M. I hope the rumors about Wang looking to sell are true, because if they aren't, nothing is going to change.
