Future Flyer Cup-Winner
So a noon day start for everyone who has the day off - which isn't very many of us. The two teams are ostensibly tied for 10th in the East, though that doesn't take into account that this is actually the last game of the year for Philly (tied with Buffalo for most games played). The Islanders could use a win to push for making the playoffs - the Flyers need a win to stay out of the East basement.
Flyer injuries - Shelley, Leighton, Mezaros, Hartnell, though the last two are getting close. Heck, Mez was practicing with the team, so don't be surprised if they shove him in tonight. They will likely start Bryzgalov.
Islanders injuries - Carkner, Martinek, Bailey, Joensuu. DiPietro isn't technically injured but we all know it's coming, even though Nabokov starts between the pipes.
This is kind of the right time to win a game, Flyers! It's the Isles! Win it for all your fans (who won't be attending because for some stupid reason you decided to start at 1 PM on a pseudo-holiday)!
LET'S GO FLYERS!
