Preseason Week 1 vs. New York Jets

The big worry for me is that we only have 4 decent LBs on this team. We have no depth. The starters are barely serviceable. Tulloch looked good. Levy and Palmer were OK but far from good. Whitehead will be a solid player but still needs to learn the game. T Lewis sucks donkey balls. R Lewis was playing DE and was better than expected and could possibly be a 3-4 starter on another team. The rest looked like they had no clue. Maybe Moten can step up, but that's it.

O-Line was better than expected but could have been better. QBs were better and WRs were a nice surprise. Even Mike Thomas held on to the ball. I thought RBs could have been better. Bell was Good and Bush decent too. Leshoure looks the same and Riddick not too good.

I find it hard to believe you were a kicker. That takes focus. And we know where were going with the pot issue here. Hard to focus.

No reason to get worried about a single preseason game -- we won't really have much of an idea how the team will perform until we see them in regular season games.

I think most fans already know where the Lions strengths will be -- Passing the football and the Defensive Line -- As well as where our question marks will be -- LBs on defense, new OL and running the football consistently.

That is why I rarely watch much preseason football, until they start leaving in the starters for 2 or 3 quarters, as it isn't going to show you too much.

One question I do have for those who watched the game -- How did the new DE's look? Were they getting pressure on the QB? I saw one play with Jason Jones where he bullrushed the OT and pushed him back into the pocket, but didn't get to see much else from the game, as I was watching the Tigers game.

All day brah. It was constant pressure. Even the backups got plenty f pressure. And Gunther was actually using blitz packages as well. Hopefully signs of things to come throughout the year.

I have a question. I thought I read a article somewhere that stated it was now illegal to spin the ball after a play as it's considered taunting. I saw the Jets last night do it at least twice and no flag. Am I missing something?

Ok, But I was pretty sure one of the Jets spun one after scoring a TD last night, I'll finish watching the game to see if it happens. I missed the first TD so I hope that wasn't the one.

Did anyone see Warford? I didn't. I'm sure he was there, but I just didn't see him.....I saw Waddle, I didn't Warford......I saw Peterman (lmao) I didn't see Warford.

Warford played in a game high 53 snaps. I think it is great that an interior lineman played that much and did not get noticed. It means no mistakes.

I thought Warford did OK. Reiff actually got beat a couple times but also dominated on some plays. Fox actually played well too. The interior was not horrible but still needs improvement. Still better than I was expecting for the first time out versus many blitzes.

I just want to point out that it was the Jets, It's not like we played S.F, Seattle or Denver.......The Jets will be a bottom of the barrel team........There was some good and some bad.


Martin looked real good.....The legs looked real good, that should help.
