Game Thread: Preseason at Houston

Pretty surprised with the play calling so far. Looks more like the "old" offense (as in last year) than the new and improved one.

Awful playcalling tonight, CJ is killing it on the ground but Manning refusing to throw anything other than 4 yard passes to Owen Daniels. I can't believe I'm saying this but we looked better with Oz last week against a good Seattle defense, the Texans don't even have Watt and we still can't do shit.

It's pre-season but I see no difference in this years playcalling to last years. We still pass the majority of the time even when it's not working and the running game is.

I know that but there's no reason why we should be passing 80% of the time when CJ is averaging 6 yards per carry. It's the same shit that killed us last year when Gase was calling the plays, just let Peyton pass regardless of what the running game is doing is not a good strategy.

So far on my kindle gameplay, looks like D is doing good, offense to predictable,Denver return guys not so good,Manning less than 50% completion ratio.

I think Oz and Manning switched jersey's, either that or Brock really excels in this offense where he didn't in the last one.

Yah.....couldn't have thrown it any better. Oz really looking more and more in control of the offense. Will probably be the highlight of the season for Caldwell.

One thing I've noticed is that the defense has gotten a lot better at tackling, I'm not seeing a lot of broken tackles by Houston.

Agree. So far he is beating out Ball for the #2 role.
