Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Martinez in that game against UCLA? Remember that game we got up 21 to 3 and then went 38 minutes without scoring a single point? That game Martinez had -13 yards?

50% of my ass. When Armstrong got hurt we lost our production.

Taylor got hurt in the Wyoming game......

You think Tommy Armstrong gave us a better chance to win this year than this guy????

And why not

Mike Leach is an awesome dude....I like him a lot.

But he is simply Bo Pelini with even less of a filter. All he cares about is slinging the ball around, because it's fun. He will never in his life do better than that one great year he had at Texas Tech, because he can't buckle down and focus on the big picture.

On the flip side, there are only 2 reasons why Nebraska might lose this game....

1) Turnovers. If Abdullah doesn't fumble, that will be a good start.

2) Special Teams. I seriously wouldn't be opposed to just sending an all-out punt block on every punt and taking our chances.

See, that is only 2 reasons why we could lose......1 less reason than why we will win. Tharfor.....by reasons of mathematics......Nebraska will win.

Those 2 reasons are big mf reasons that have been plenty of reason enough times in the past.

T-Mart was definitely a huge part of the offense. The biggest part was his running. It was clear that in that UCLA game he wasn't the same guy.

Sir.......I was being extremely sarcastic with those reasons.

Note my reason #3 for why we should win. I am just being a homer.

Hard to tell when you get those rose colored glasses on. You run the guantlet on why Nebraska will win, then game day comes, you smash the glasses and call for Pelinis head on SUnday but Monday you run down to the quk pik and get yourself another pair of cheap sunglasses and all of the sudden Nebraska is the best thing since sliced bread again.

Sorry, I can't do it. I pick prety close at the beginning of the year then you get me grabbing my trumpet and jumping on the wagon for big games. I hate that freaking trumpet and I'm too fucking old to be jumping on to wagons.

147-1 Huskers. Ameer runs for 250+. TA passes for 300+. 2 Punt returns for TD's. Jawja gets one point for a nice tackle on Q that prevents his 6th TD of the game.

VV wins game MVP after recording 14 tackles for loss and 5 1/2 sacks before sitting in the second half of the game.

UGA suspends two players for the gator bowl.

Georgia has suspended two defensive players, including one key starter, for the Gator Bowl.

Safety Josh Harvey-Clemons and cornerback Sheldon Dawson, both sophomores, will miss the Jan. 1 game due to a violation of "team regulations," according to an announcement by UGA on Monday evening

Read more here: Harvey-Clemons, Sheldon Dawson suspended for Gator Bowl | Bulldogs Beat with Seth Emerson | Macon.com

It's not the first suspension this year for Harvey-Clemons, who missed the first game due to a violation of UGA's student-athlete drug policy. Harvey-Clemons started the next 11 games, and ranks third on the team with 66 tackles. He also has 5.5 tackles-for-loss

NU still has a dismal performance on special teams, but the bright side to that; is UGA only punts twice.
NU only has 3 turnovers but keeps the score with grasp till the end.

This is why I copied TomHusker and his 87 points as the third tie breaker. His insights on the outcome is almost prophalactic.

Nebraska 34
Georgia 31

My wife made some mean koolaid because she is a Denver Broncos fan(then a nebraska fan), and I drank it.

It was the 2 punt return touchdowns that put it over the top, wasn't it?

Georgia has suspended Dawson and Clemons for the bowl game.Georgia's secondary will be without two key pieces in the Jan. 1 TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl, as the school announced on Monday that defensive backs Josh Harvey-Clemons and Sheldon Dawson will not participate in the game.

Georgia sports communications director Claude Felton reported that the two sophomores will not face Nebraska in the bowl game due to "violation of team regulations," but had no further information on the players' suspensions.

Harvey-Clemons missed the season-opening loss against Clemson after being involved in a marijuana-related incident during the summer. He started the next 11 games and ranks third on the team with 66 tackles along with 5.5 tackles for a loss, one interception and three fumble recoveries.

Dawson played in all 12 games, starting at cornerback for the first time in the regular-season finale against Georgia Tech, and has 13 tackles and one tackle for a loss.

Meh

It's upfront where Nebraska needs to win this game. If they can't protect TA or RK they are in trouble. If they can't run the ball, they're in trouble.

Same goes with the D-line. If they can't get any pressure on Georgia's QB and they get pushed around on the running plays, they're toast.

You need to specify what kind of toast.

If it's toast with a little bit of butter and some homemade strawberry jam on it, I'd say that is a pretty good deal.

Clemens back up is not slacker either. Corey Moore has had plenty of playing time and will step in with no drop off.

edit: I don't know where Richt ever came up with the idea but he gives his back ups playing time.
