Hey 9-3 in the B10 I would like to know where that many losses come from. I can think of Ohio St., Wis. possibly as they look to have turned it around after Alvarez took their AD spot. Mich. should be down again or further down since they let their coach go. Iowa has a tougher D but once they lose they tend to keep losing most of the rest of that season. Mn. has been on their best under Mason average and under the last staff which included Cos. has nothing and they have a So So New HC for next year. Unless They lose to Washington again but I would think since they the O didn't take them seriously they will come with the chip on their shoulders like they should have had in the bowl game.

What I hope happens is that Watson at least is fired cause of statewide and nationwide email and snail mail efforts by the fans and those that are major supporters to include Suh that say the money stops unless Watson walks.
When even the coach that is in charge of that part of the team says they do not have any identity after three years of solely his control then that coach needs to go.

That or Osborne has a meeting with Bo and says it is in HIS best interest to get rid of Watson and get a different guy to do the job.

Actually I have Nebraska beating Ohio St.

I said "9-3 at worse". I figured Wisconsin as a loss and then maybe losing 2 more with Watson still as OC between Michigan St, at Penn St, at Michigan, or Northwestern.

I think with the new O-Linemen and A. Green, J. Turner, the kids in front of them will be wanting to keep their spots and prove they're just as good as these hot shot recruits. Hopefully this recruiting class brings some of that swagger back that we had in the first half of the season.

What happened to that team in the first half against Missouri????

I don't even know where to begin predicting the future without having an inkling as what to expect on offense. I can only go by what I've seen.

I expect defensively Nebraska will be it's usual diciplined self and generally keep opponents under 24 points, with the exception of 2-3 games.

I expect the offense will continue Watson's historical pattern of penalties, turnovers, mass confusion and general frustration dating back to his days @ Colorado.

The schedule is not all that daunting if looked at in a home/away perspective. Will another spring/fall practice coupled with a QB who's got a season of experience be enough to get everybody on the same page offensively?

It boils down to practice and the following need to be improved if Nebraska is going to win 10 regular season games in 2011.

Offensive line- Learn your assignments, play with intensity, and concentrate every snap.
Receivers- Learn your routes, catch the ball if it hits you in the hands, block.
Running backs- Hold onto the ball, learn to pass block.
QB (Martinez)- Develop pocket vision, learn to throw the ball away and live another day, develop arm strength.
OC and assistants- Ensure the above fundamentals are being taught 'effectively'.

8-4 at worst
10-2 at best

I'll split the difference and go with 9-3

We will get better regardless of who is the OC.

I am thinking discipline will be a major focus for our team in the coming months and there will be enough competition at skill positions that they all will get much better!

Can't say what our record will be, but feel we should be at or near the top of the Big 10. If we fail to be in the top 2 or 3, then expect forced changes to occur!

But I do not think we are done seeing some movement or the possibility of movement by coaches... within... and may see some things come up this next week to 2 weeks.

Get rid of beck and frost

I assume you meant "Get Frost"?

I hope NU keeps Beck. I actually like his offense. If he can find a disciplined trigger man to execute it, and an O-line that can pass block, they'll play with anyone.

ANYONE!!!!

I like Beck's Offense as well.

I like Taylor a lot......but let's be honest, that Michigan State Defense is an SEC caliber Defense, and Taylor is not an SEC caliber QB.

Anyone could see that kind of passing day from a mile away coming...........but I can honestly say I never saw that kind of a day rushing for Taylor. He made up for all of his mistakes with his legs.

I don't disagree with you....I just wish Beck could make minor adjustments to his offense to fit with the talents of his players instead of trying to get his players to adjust to his offense....
