Hey 9-3 in the B10 I would like to know where that many losses come from. I can think of Ohio St., Wis. possibly as they look to have turned it around after Alvarez took their AD spot. Mich. should be down again or further down since they let their coach go. Iowa has a tougher D but once they lose they tend to keep losing most of the rest of that season. Mn. has been on their best under Mason average and under the last staff which included Cos. has nothing and they have a So So New HC for next year. Unless They lose to Washington again but I would think since they the O didn't take them seriously they will come with the chip on their shoulders like they should have had in the bowl game.

What I hope happens is that Watson at least is fired cause of statewide and nationwide email and snail mail efforts by the fans and those that are major supporters to include Suh that say the money stops unless Watson walks.
When even the coach that is in charge of that part of the team says they do not have any identity after three years of solely his control then that coach needs to go.

That or Osborne has a meeting with Bo and says it is in HIS best interest to get rid of Watson and get a different guy to do the job.

If Watson was going to be fired it would have happened by now........he is here for the 2011 season. Thus, as I say, we must improve on offense if we want to have a successful season.

I would support that. Bo has to really get it and not just know but seriously get it that he has the job of making sure every part of the team does well, not just the D. And since that is his responsibility now, no matter how great the rest of the team looks if we lose cause the O cannot consistently put up points and he is not making changes then we need someone that can pull the plug.

I completely agree.........if we struggle this next season on offense, and Pelini refuses to make a change, then it is definitely time to begin looking elsewhere for a different head coach.

About Watson. Unfortunately you you are probably right. If they where going to get rid of Watson they would have done it by now. I think TO is past helping Bo and needs to know if he is going to seriously look at what is going on for the whole team and make the necessary to turn it around. We have good enough players to have beat every team we have gone against this year if Watson would had the O doing what works instead of constantly going back to what was not working and I do not see him developing any of the back up talent unless he is going to NEED them for an extended time. The D is diff. Bo has played walk ons and you see almost no drop in what the D is able to do. A starter goes down in the game and we have major problems on O. After Watson lost all the kids that really helped and trained under our last HC he has majorly struggled. I really believe that if we didn't have Taylor this year we would have has more losses this year. Cause Taylor took the play calling away from Watson in that if what was called didn't happen quickly he took off quickly.

It would be unfortunate to lose Bo cause of what he did on D after what Cos did to the D. But he has to think outside of the D. That and he wouldn't have to be int he refs ear like he and most coaches do. But if the O was doing better like I really believe we have the the talent for then he wouldn't feel like he has to fight for every win.

Yes.......I love Bo to death, but the guy has to start thinking as a head coach. What's best for this team is not just a dominating defense. I know that's what he takes pride in, and I too take pride in our defense.......but if Bo wants to win championships, he needs to find help on the offensive side of the ball.

Just looked. Pryor and the rest will not be in the reg. season game with us. Its the last game of their 5 game suspension. So unless they make it to the conf. championship and we do the same we will not have to play those players.

Those suspended players will be back. They play Akron, Toledo, Miami, Colorado, and Michigan State........those are their first 5 games.

The 6th game is against Nebraska. It will be their first game back.

Exactly. And it will make it harder for him to get a HC job right away cause they will see that he really is a Laissez-faire let the coordinators run things completely. And thats fine if you have someone that is doing a good job. But really you at least need to have your hands in thing a little if for no other reason than if he takes a different job else where that he knows what to look for in the staff he hires.

Sorry I forgot bye weeks and looked at our schedule and we on playing our 5th game.

I do not remember but do those players get to practice with the team during that time. Either way they might be a bit rusty. No tune up time b4 playing us and I hope we are a team that they feel they really have to prep for.

Its kind of hard to say cause I have no confidence in Watson and if we lose all of our good players (Burkhead, Helu and the others that could maybe be looking to go pro), esp on O cause of grad. or lost confidence in Watson. Then the O will really have problems. I do not worry about the D much with Bo running things. He KNOWS what he needs there and how to recruit that side of the ball.

Watson however in my mind wants to throw like Callahan did with a little more running thrown in than Callahan did. But he does not have a clue on what he needs and how to recruit the players he needs, let alone how to train/coach them.

I would assume those players would probably be somewhat rusty. All I know is I'm having a hard time looking ahead to next season right now knowing that we have Watson coming back......and that OLine performance in the Holiday Bowl has me down in the dumps too.
