IM all for playing to win this weekend. Which is why Im not totally convinced we should hold out our starters.

But on the flip side, Dallas will be playing to try and end their season on a positive note and i dont expect their players to hold back or slack off because... aside from winning this last game, they got nothing to play for. It would suck to lose one or more starters in an other wise meaningless game.

So what Im hoping to see is the Skins come out, get after it early and then go into run the ball and burn clock mode early.

Jason Garrett may be coaching for his job. I expect he will pull out all the stops.

Firing Garrett would cost $24 million dollars. Right now he could walk into Jerrys office, tell him he tanked the final game for the draft pick, then proceed to Boink Jerrys wife, daughter and favorite pet on his desk... and he is still safe for two more years.

Had no idea it was that much, but To Jerry, it's a drop in the bucket.

The money is only half the issue. IF you fire Garrett, you have to hire a coach. Any one he brings in will want MORE than that $6 million a year. They also might want to part ways with Romo and bring in their own QB. Thats another $11 million in basically dead money which DOES count against the cap. Now granted he has already paid that $11 million to Romo, but if a new coach comes in, cost $24 million in new money plus puts them $2.7 million over the cap and starts a rebuild...... thats a hard sell even for a billionaire. Especially if Jerry really thinks the only reason they didnt win the Division was because Romo got hurt.

No matter who the coach is, Romo is going nowhere.

Strange as it sounds... I hope you are right on that one. The longer he is in Dallas, the better for the Skins in the long run. And Im actually hoping that they DONT take one of the top two QBs in this coming draft. I dont think either is a day one franchise QB. But I think both Goff and Lynche, if made to sit and learn could develop into one.

it would make sense for dallas to lose this game get a top 5 player plus romo back . they could jump right back to the top of the division

I remember last year when some were advocating we tank to get a better pick. You argued quite aggressively that no team, player or coach would ever tank a game and made very valid points. Those same points are still valid only this time for the boys. Dallas will give us all they have left, which may not be much.

So we will be playing against their 4th string QB without Dez. Every time we get a setup where w should win, egg laying ensues
Hope not and I actually think this team will take this game seriously regardless.

Thankfully, it won't matter in the big picture of things.
