I'm wondering why folks are saying JD5 is off, when this is what he's getting from the line...under duress for 26 passes and OL grades of 13.16 & 27 for a game is insane...

Yes, everyone has to step up on offense. The Eagles game was JD5 worst, but he is going to have games like this. He is a rookie.

Even vet QB's have games like that but, you cannot have a game where you can't throw it in the ocean! Too tough to overcome.

This is hands down the worst take I've ever seen from him. What the helll is he talking about? Its Dallas. We HATE them and don't want to see them win a game EVER, let alone against us. We don't care about records or Philly. We hate Dallas.... period.

we need to let JD5 be JD5 . you cant expect him to be a great qb and only use 1/2 his skillset .

Agreed, but what does that mean, when opposing defenses have both skilled players and the discipline to take the dynamic part away? All year long we have debated the need to get a high end receiver here, when at least one of us knew that, the better teams take or limit running lanes for the Lamar's and Daniels' types. This necessary means that these QBs have to beat them passing the ball, thus a need to have receivers who present a problem for the opposition becomes paramount.

The OL hasn't done JD any favors the past few games. If you watch ALL22 you can see all 5 guys up front have performed under the expectation the previous 7-8 games. Everyone needs to pick it up!
Without question, we have one of the weakest WR groups in the league.

Philly, Pittsburgh, and to a lesser degree Baltimore because they have a similar player, all know how to take away or at least limit the running abilities of these QBs. The counter is obvious, they have to beat them in the pocket but that requires a much more threatening WR group.
Terry was targeted 20 times in the Eagles game, he ended the game with 1-2 total catches.

I haven’t heard too many say that his smart running and self protection are not integral to our offense. We need him extending plays. He just needs to protect himself.

You're right, they are too busy complaining or worrying about him running when he does in real time. Now, if they really want to protect him, limit his need to extend plays and the means bolstering the OL and moving TM to his more natural, more deadly position.

You’re right, they have under performed the last couple of weeks. But they were playing some of the best defenses in the league. Still, these are the defenses they will see in the playoffs. They have to step up

What does it mean in term of skilset and abilities to "step up?" Against that type of competition, this team has stepped up! They are maxing out and will need better players to compete and win against these top end teams.

Exactly!! This team is having a remarkable season but they are limited by their obvious weaknesses! Great post!

The offense against the Eagles was awful taking out that first drive. cant win games with offense like that

For one, get healthy. Next, center the offensive game plan around the running game. This week, against Dallas, run directly at Parsons. Take away his strength.

Redskins "should" win this game. No Dak and no run game for Dallas. Zimmer is not half the coach DQ was. I agree that Washington should run the ball but they need a better game out of the offense. I don't follow closely but I thought I have heard the Dallas Oline has been beat up .... of course so has Washington's.

If Lattimore plays and plays well Redskins should do well.

JD masked their weakness for many games. Now that he got hurt, he can no longer mask that. His ability to extend plays was obvious, not so much now with those tinder ribs.
